TecMun Reflection

For me, TecMun was such a great experience as I was able to meet new people, an example of this was when my alliance was formed. All of the delegates were such great people and I was able to make new friends who were interested in the same things as me.

Another thing that I really enjoyed about the Mun, was the opportunity it gave me to challenge myself on a topic which probably I would never have known, if it wasn´t for this committee.

I really liked how I was able to practice debating with people who I didn’t know whilst I improved my vocabulary, accent and how I relate words.

I am very happy with this experience and it’s something I wouldn’t change and I’m so happy with the honorable mention from the chair and I’m really grateful.

My experience with TecMun

I found TecMun a very interesting project, because it helped me to learn more about other countries, the culture and the position they took on the topics that we were discussing.

Also, TecMun gave me the opportunity of extending my vocabulary and practicing my spelling, which was something that I really liked.

During TecMun I had the opportunity of making different proposals that could solve the problem of the topic that we were debating. By negotiating with the other delegates who were representing different countries, I found myself learning more around the situation in their countries.

My conclusion is that TecMun is an experience that really changes your life and way of thinking about different problems.

TecMunTecMun for me was a wonderful experience. Since the beginning of the event, I knew it would change my perception of life. The general secretary Nuria Vidal Castillo gave us a beautiful speech on how we were able to change the world, and not only did it inspire me but it reminded me of why I decided to join the model in the first place; to raise my voice for the ones who couldn’t. In the debate I met so many delegates, all of them with good ideas and different perspectives on our topic, it amazed me the number of delegates who wanted to change the world. TecMun helped me to change my perspective of the world. It helped me to realize that there are so many options to make this world a better place. That it is our responsibility to use our privileges to help the ones who don’t have them. Right now, with just one click, I can help thousands of people; you just need initiative. TecMun lasts 3 days but you can help people 365 days.

I am so thankful for being able to participate in the model and I’m sure I’ll participate next year. Marian Robles Ortiz

My experience at TecMun

My name is Bruno Monroy, I have been participating in MUNS for several years. I started out being an usher in 4°, and by 6°, I had competed in my first MUN. The first few participations made me nervous, and it was hard for me to pay attention. After the first break, I managed to resume the debate, my nerves lowered and I was able to concentrate, on the first day we could not reach any agreements, we only debated the topic.

The second day, started with a talk from a guest speaker, the truth is that I liked his talk, since he said that change does not happen just because it happens, we have to generate change, and he gave us steps to be able to generate change. During the following sessions we reached some resolutions, but they weren’t the best, the table scolded us, and we were able to return a little to the topic, we also started the Working Paper. The third day was easier, the same routine, waking up and entering the session. I met with people again from my alliance, and I managed to propose an effective solution. This proposal tried to end ISIS (Islamic State) by looking for the cause for which people unite (Country’s economy) and we made an economic treaty with certain countries to eradicate this. At the end of the day, the Working Paper was not approved, but at least it was finished. I earned an honorable mention as the Republic of Egypt.
