Our Home In 1898, Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was a guest on the Zugerberg. She stayed for five weeks at the Grandhotel Schönfels in the buildings where we house our Montana boarding school students today. At that time, the Zugerberg with its two hotels Schönfels and Felsenegg - was the health resort of the international nobility. Here many guests from Europe recovered, cured ailments, bathed, participated in excursions, relaxed, and explored the surrounding natural beauty of the Zugerberg.

Then in 1925 “Grand Hotel Schönfels” was acquired by Dr Max Husmann to become an international boarding school. The Boarding School was then founded on 3 May 1926 on humanist principles that still guide us today.
