TRANSLATION & DEVELOPMENT Bringing New Technologies and Therapies to Patients We bring new scientific discoveries to patients as rapidly as possible through the full Cycle of Translation from bench research to prototyping and production to clinical trials to FDA approval. Houston Methodist has a $31M product development fund to navigate these promising technologies through a translational pipeline and facilitate a technology transfer handoff to the market for delivery of safe and effective therapies to our patients.

Houston Methodist faculty trained 41,100 learners in 2024. Our modern interdisciplinary GME and educational programs have access to advanced resources, such as the Bookout Center, an advanced surgical training and emerging technology facility dedicated to the research, development, and integration of robotic imaging and digital surgery platforms toward more precise, efficient and personalized surgical inventions.
