For over 25 years, flowpoint has been exceeding the demands of clients. It has been used in a variety of project environments including public realm, landscaping and domestic UltraScape flowpoint is now synonymous with fast application, cost effective and robust jointing. Open to foot traffic: 1 hour Open to vehicular traffic: 4 hours
UltraScape flowpoint grout Is ideal for urban regeneration schemes, allowing large areas to be grouted with ease and washed clean.
• Joints MUST be free from ponding water!
• MUST USE MEASURING JUG - 4.25 Litres Water Per Bag.
• Mix only enough material to apply in 4 minutes.
DO NOT MIX MORE THAN CAN BE WASHED OFF IN TIME FROM GROUT SETTING. TRY ONE BAG FIRST.
• Long handle squeegee
• Hose with good adjustable spray gun or nozzle, for Mist Spray and Firm Spray requirements
• Sit Measuring Jug
STEP 1
Make sure joints are free from debris and all ponded water is removed. All of the paving surface and joints must be pre-soaked and kept wet until the jointing process has been completed.
DO NOT LEAVE POOLED WATER IN JOINTS.
1 x 25kg bag requires 4.25 litres of water. Use a measuring jug as a guide. Mix in a 20 litre bucket for 3-5 minutes until smooth & lump free.
Apply to the surface without delay, spread and push into joints using a rubber squeegee. DO NOT store grout in bucket! Repeatedly top up the joints where the grout may have slumped. Use squeegee to remove as much grout off the surface as possible.
When the grout has hardened sufficiently the paving surface must be cleaned using a hose and broom. Use high pressure with caution as this will blow grout from joints. Cleaning must be carried out thoroughly and no grout must be allowed to remain on surface of paving.
• Wash all tools frequently.
• KEEP SURFACE MOIST AT ALL TIMES!
Fine Mist Spray Only.
• NEVER remix or add extra water!
• Wear protective clothing. Avoid skin and eye contact.
• Cool temperatures retard, warm temperatures accelerate.
Flowable jointing compound specification
• 20 litre Bucket
• Drill with mixing paddle
• Soft Broom and Stiff Broom
• Rubber Grouting Trowel
• Cloth tape if required for masking off areas and edges without haunch
THE SURFACE MUST BE KEPT MOIST AT ALL TIMES using a soft mist spray.
Pre-Soak Area STEP 2 Apply STEP 3 Wash-off at 5°C it takes four times as long as it does at 20°C
Standard Smooth Curing Times Rule Of Thumb: 15min @20°C:
at 10°C it takes twice as long as it does at 20°C
at 25°C it takes half as long as it does at 20°C
at 30°C it is 4 times quicker than at 20°C
Joints to be filled using UltraScape flowpoint smooth / fine rapid set grout supplied in 25kg bags / 20kg buckets respectively. To have a workability time of 5 – 10 minutes and set time of 30 minutes* applied at 3mm-50mm joint width (2mm-50mm for fine) and to joint depth 20mm-200mm. To reach a compressive strength of 10N/mm² at 2 hours, 14N/ mm² at 24 hours and have a 28 day compressive strength of 49.6N/mm², flexural strength of 7.1N/mm², tensile strength of 3.91N/mm² and bond strength of 1.5N/mm². All in full compliance with British Standard 7533.
*Times can be dependent on temperatures. Very low temperatures can increase set times and very high temperatures can decrease set times.
