IN MOTION
HANNAH LEE

Hannah Lee is a Textiles Designer in her final year at the Arts University Bournemouth. Her work blends a passion for print design with a thoughtful exploration of materials to craft tactile surfaces for interior spaces.
Combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques, Hannah creates unique pieces characterised by bold graphic shapes and vibrant colour.
‘In Motion’ is an interiors collection of screen-printed wallpaper and fabric, woven textiles, and hard surface samples, developed for a conceptual 2028 Olympic Village in Los Angeles. Inspired by my visit to the 2024 Paris Paralympics, the project explores how movement, geometry, and accessibility can inform surface design in leisure environments such as gyms, changing rooms, and athlete lounges.
Through vivid bursts of colour, playful geometry, and layered textures, 'In Motion' captures the joy of sport. The vibrant colour palette and graphic compositions aim to bring excitement and a welcoming atmosphere to spaces that can often feel uninviting.
Luxurious and lively in equal measure, the collection balances structure with softness. Raised textures, high-contrast graphics and subtle braille elements ensure the designs are not only visually striking but also engage the sense of touch, creating a rich, multisensory experience that can be enjoyed by all.
Ultimately, ‘In Motion’ is designed to enhance well-being and create inclusive, stimulating environments within the leisure industry. This playful collection evokes a light-hearted feel and will bring joy to the spaces it occupies.
