PREFECTS AND MONITORS
Prefects and Monitors are pupils who have been chosen as exemplary members of the student body in Year 12 and Year 13 and are actively engaged in the life of the school.
They are approachable, present, ready to listen and help to ensure that the rules are understood and being followed . The application process is rigorous and demanding and includes references, a written letter of application and an interview . Further details are shared with the relevant year groups at appropriate times in the year Prefects and Monitors have a training day at school before the first day of term and are present to welcome new pupils and families at the start of term New pupils to Year 12 will have an opportunity to apply to become Monitors in October
A Head and Deputy Head Prefect work with the Head of Senior School to lead the team of Prefects and Monitors and hold weekly meetings with the team These pupils are elected to represent the school each year . All staff and pupils in Years 5 to 13 can vote in this election
