Axie, as he is popularly known, tell as us that the idea to introduce a Roof Craft Beer brand came about 4 years ago when he and owner of Roof of Africa, Torsten Krumnow were brainstorming and strategizing about expansion and new product innovations. At the time, Roof of Africa where in the process of renovation and expansion of their facilities. The expansion plans came with a customized, fully operational brewery, with equipment from Austria. The training of the brewing and operation of the brewery machinery as well as the intricate brewing requirements was facilitated in Austria. On 18 February 2018, The Roof Craft Beers where introduced into the Namibian market.
The brewing process takes 6 weeks to get the final product which is the Lager. Weyermann Malt and Hallertaunev Hops are the ingredients used when brewing The Roof Craft Beer and these are imported from Germany.
Roof Craft Beer comes in the following flavors, Roof Draught, Roof Pilsner, Roof Draught Unfiltered, Roof Dark Larger and The Roof Woodcrafters.
