Yet forty years ago, Belgian fashion was little known beyond its borders. That began to change thanks to six young designers who studied together in Antwerp. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the legendary “Antwerp Six,” whose groundbreaking work helped put Belgian fashion on the international map and whose legacy continues to resonate today.
