AOITORI is a little community magazine for Japanese community in Belgium.
We are delighted to deliver you our November edition featuring Julien Dillens, the Belgian sculptor in early 20th century famous for t'Serclaes statue in the heart of Brussels at Grand Place.
Master Dillens had a Japanese student Kozaburo Takeishi who later spoke about his study and the private life of Dillens for an art review published in Japan.
The article is written by Takeishi's great-grandchild Minako who currently lives in Brussels and make a research about Takeishi's activities in Belgium and Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels.
