Looking Ahead with Inspira’s New Multi-Year Strategic Plan

Strategic plans are blueprints for change that outline key areas of focus to help fuel our organization’s future. At Inspira, previous strategic plans have guided us to critical mergers and acquisitions, openings of new and expanded campuses and meaningful revenue growth – securing our foothold as one of the region’s leading health care organizations. As the health care landscape experiences significant changes, we must continue to evolve, as well. Our organization has taken an introspective look at its current state and where it can refine, refocus, and reimagine a sustainable path to growth.

Inspira Health’s new strategic plan marks the beginning of a pivotal moment for Inspira. It sets a clear path to deepen our clinical excellence, enhance quality and safety, and elevate the patient experience to build affinity with patients in our community by outlining the following five strategic domains of focus:

Quality/Clinical Excellence, Patient Safety & Experience of Care

Providing safe and compassionate care is at the core of our mission. We are committed to providing every patient with high-quality clinical excellence. These components are intertwined: improving clinical performance will not only enable us to elevate the quality and safety of our care, but also improve and sustain the patient experience across every department, at every moment.

Medical Staff & Physician Platform

At Inspira we are always looking for ways to expand and elevate our network to best serve the community – from new service lines, to new offerings, and even new geographies. One of our critical growth opportunities as an organization is through an expanded physician network. Our goal is to grow and deepen Inspira’s Medical Staff, specifically via primary and specialty care, as well as independent and employed corps of physicians. As a bigger and greater medical team, Inspira can better leverage the value of medical staff and physicians across the network and increase their engagement.

Patient/Consumer-Centric Accessibility and Convenience

The patient experience is the cornerstone of our work, and it is also key to building affinity and loyalty with our patients and the larger South Jersey community. By matching – or exceeding – patients’ expectations, we can further engage with them, building relationships and increasing loyalty across the network. We will evaluate how patients interact with Inspira, so we can better understand a patient’s journey and enhance how we meet their expectations.

Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention, Cultural Engagement

Inspira’s greatest asset is our people. To strengthen our employee culture and be a preferred place to work, we will refine the way we approach talent acquisition, development, retention, and engagement. Our goal is to establish and promote a supportive, inclusive culture focused on developing employees by building strong, dynamic teams while helping employees reach their personal and professional goals. By creating new ways for how we partner with our employees, Inspira can foster new and emerging leaders to support the future of the network.

Population Health Management and Community Health

Our responsibility to deliver safe, high-quality care extends beyond our network walls to our broader South Jersey community. This domain is intended to address this need head-on — to help us identify the needs of our community and design our population health management programs to meet them. By better understanding the community’s needs, we can provide resources that support a healthier population through wellness, prevention, and disease management. This will enable us to refine our existing framework to better improve the health and wellness of our community members.
