Spalding County built on a post-Covid boom, with 163 new businesses opening their doors in 2022. 849 total businesses are currently open in the county. The department issued 1071+ building permits in 2022 with impact fees of more than $400,000.

Planning continued in 2022 for the new Griffin+Spalding Airport!
