SUNDAY Act of Remembrance (approx. 10:45 AM): Gathering at the War Memorial outside St Alphege Church for prayers, the Last Post, and the two-minute silence at 11:00 AM, accompanied by the laying of wreaths by local dignitaries, the Mayor of Solihull, Armed Forces representatives, and community groups. Civic Service of Remembrance (approx. 11:00 AM / 11:15 AM): A follow-up service held inside St Alphege Church. Road Closures (typically 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM): Surrounding town centre roads—including Church Hill Road, New Road, and the service road near the Council House/Manor Square—are closed to accommodate the parade and service.
Remembering those who served, those who still serve, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice — with gratitude, today and every day, for the peace and freedom we share.
