“Throughoutmytenure,”Dr Watsonbegan,“wehave facedmultiplechallengingsituations,manyofthem weather-related.Lastyear,wefacedHurricaneIan.Before that,HurricaneIrma.Luckilyforme,Ihavehadsupport andinputfromtheentireSeniorLeadershipTeamwhen facedwiththesesituations.”
Dr Watsonthendelvedintoamajorexampleinvolving managingtheimpactofCOVID-19intheschool's educationalsetting.
“Inlinewithprioritizingthesafetyandwelfareofour studentsandcommunity,”heexplained,“theschool temporarilytransitionedtoonlinelearningfrommid-March 2020toMay2020.Thisdecision,althoughdisruptive,was madeaftercarefulconsiderationandexpertconsultation.
