What do we know about World AIDS Day?
World AIDS day is observed every year on December 1 since its initiation in 1988. It is an international day dedicated to spreading awareness regarding the AIDS pandemic and the HIV infection, and the mourning of all those individuals affected by this disease.
AIDS stands for acquired immunodeficiency syndrome which is a fatal condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The HIV virus invades the human immune system of the patient and reduces its resistance to other diseases. AIDS is a set of symptoms and illnesses that develop at the final stage of HIV
