Dear Member, You’ve heard us say it before, but today you’ll see why cooperative membership matters! On your next bill you’ll be receiving a capital credit refund - something that you’d never get from most utility companies. As a non-profit cooperative, when there is excess revenue in a particular year, it can be returned to member-customers like you in the form of capital credit refunds. That’s something that not just any utility company can do --- and one of the reasons that we feel we have a partnership in the success of your business. But that’s not all that makes your membership special: You have a voice in running Roundrock Electric. Cooperatives are owned by their customers You have a vote in choosing the board of directors, deciding on bylaw changes and other issues that are decided by the member-customers. Your neighborhood is our home. Your co-op is run locally, so decisions are made right here, not in some corporate boardroom in another city. The refund will be applied to your April bill and is being returned for your share of the profit from 2015. Your credit amount is shown below.
