Peppermint Bark Ingredients: 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped 12 oz. white chocolate, chopped
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract 8 candy canes, crushed
Directions: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bring 3� of water to simmer in a large pot on medium heat. Reduce heat to low, then place a large heatproof bowl on top. Add semi-sweet chocolate and stir occasionally until melted. Stir in extract. Pour into baking sheet and spread with a spatula into an even layer. Refrigerate until set; about 20 minutes. Place another heatproof bowl over the same pot of barely simmering water. Add white chocolate and stir until melted. Pour over set semi-sweet chocolate and top with candy canes. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Distracted Driving Awareness The holidays are a time for family, food, and for many, travel. If you are traveling during the holiday season, remember to be safe on the road. Distracted driving is not limited to cell phone use alone. Any activity that takes your attention from driving is considered distracted driving. This puts the driver, passengers, pedestrians, and other drivers in danger. Remember to put your phone away before shifting into gear. Always be aware of your surroundings and slow down, especially in roadwork or utility work zones. Do not risk your life or the lives of others.
