GIVE TREES A CHANCE PLANT TREES PROPERLY

Trees planted too close to power lines grow into a big problem. To prevent power outages and safety hazards, the following guidelines should be considered when planting or relocating trees: Trees that are fully mature (more than 40 feet tall) should be 50 or more feet away from power lines. Partially mature trees (20-40 feet tall) need at least 20 feet of space away from power lines. All other trees and shrubs should be at least 10 feet away from power lines, and never directly underneath.
