SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY Dixie will be awarding ten $2,500 scholarships through the Electric Cooperative Foundation. The scholarship competition is open to any graduating high school senior who is the dependent of a Dixie member-owner. The scholarship will be paid directly to the college/school that the winner plans to attend. Scholarship funds can be used at a two or four year college, as well as for technical or vocational schools as the student works towards an associates degree, bachelors degree, or certification program. Ingredients:
Loaded Crack Potatoes
1 oz. package ranch dressing mix 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled 16 oz. container sour cream 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 32 oz. pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray or butter. Combine hash browns, sour cream, bacon, ranch mix, and 1 cup Cheddar cheese in a large bowl; stir until well mixed. Spread into baking pan; cover with aluminum foil. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove foil; sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese evenly across potatoes. Bake until cheese bubbles and is lightly browned around the edges, about 15 minutes.
