Energy Saving Tips Beat the summer heat and save money by following a few of these energy efficiency tips: • Use microwaves to warm leftovers. Conventional ovens use more energy than other cooking appliances. If you do use a conventional oven, try keeping the oven door closed as much as possible to prevent the heating of your home and the cooling of your food. • Keep the doors inside your home open. This allows cooled air to flow freely throughout your home without having to adjust your thermostat. • Use blinds, drapes, and shades in windows to help block out the sun. Sunlight beaming through your windows causes your home to heat up.
Ingredients:
Pizza Snacks
1 lb. mild sausage 1 lb. Velveeta cheese 1 lb. hot sausage 1 tbsp. Italian dressing 1 loaf sliced party rye bread (or bread of your choice)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown mild and hot sausage together in skillet and drain. Add Italian seasoning. Cut Velveeta cheese into small pieces and melt in sausage mixture. Cook until cheese is melted. Put spoonful on each slice of party rye bread. Place in oven long enough to crisp bread and finish melting cheese. Coming Soon to a Mailbox Near You
At the end of July 2015, you will be receiving a packet that contains a brochure outlining proposed amendment changes to the cooperative's bylaws. The brochure will also contain biographical information for trustees up for election. Your August issue of Alabama Living will contain samples of the ballot and packet so you will know what to be watching for in your mailbox. We encourage everyone to take the time to review the packet when it is received, and most importantly vote. As an incentive to encourage your participation, every memberowner who votes will receive a $5 credit on his or her October electric bill. Your board is excited to be able to offer this opportunity for your voice to be heard.
