ABOUT INROADS
INROADS is a non-profit organization that creates pathways to careers for talented high school and college students across the country. We position our graduates to advance in their careers and we help employers foster high-performing and innovative workplaces.
MISSION
Deliver innovative leadership development programs and creative solutions that identify, accelerate, and elevate talent throughout their careers.
LETTER FROM THE CEO

Dear Friends,
Forest T. Harper, Jr. President & CEO
INROADS is more than an organization; it is a movement that bridges dreams with opportunity. We position our graduates for lifelong success, ensuring students are not only prepared for their careers but also positioned to thrive in them. Whether through training workshops, one-on-one coaching, or paid internships, INROADS helps students build confidence, leadership skills, and a foundation for success.
Over the past two years, we proudly served more than 10,000 students through comprehensive career readiness and leadership development programs. By investing in technology—including a learning management system, career resource hub, and internship portal—we increased the number of college students trained by an incredible 93 percent. These advancements enable us to provide the kind of high-impact training and opportunities that transform lives and create a brighter, more prosperous future for all.

In 2025, INROADS will celebrate 55 years of serving our community. As we recognize the impact achieved over the past 55 years, we know there is still much work to do. We invite you to join us in advancing and scaling our mission. When you donate, volunteer, or partner with INROADS, you invest in building pathways to future opportunities.
As you read this annual report, you will see how our vision, mission, and values come to life through the stories of the students we serve and the impact we make in their lives. Thank you for joining us on this journey.
With gratitude,
Forest T. Harper, Jr. President & CEO INROADS

UNLOCKING GREATNESS
After participating in the INROADS Colleges Links program, I truly understand how valuable it is to have a support system like INROADS. I am so grateful to have the support of INROADS mentors, coaches, volunteers, and donors who have invested in me. This support network has molded me into a young professional, entrepreneur, leader, speaker, facilitator, and even a peer mentor.
Over the past four years I’ve learned how to be confident, build my personal brand, network, build a resume, interview, manage money, establish good credit, add value at work as a team member, and so much more. I have attended and participated in events such as the INROADS National Career Academy (NCA) and multiple INROADS Benefit Galas. Last year’s National Career Academy was in Atlanta, Georgia at Kennesaw State University. It was big for me because it was the first National Career Academy that I was able to attend in person. That experience gave me the opportunity to utilize all the skills that have been instilled in me throughout the program. I got to network with fellow leaders, scholars, and professionals from all over the nation. I built stronger connections with my fellow DC scholars, learned from numerous professionals, and most importantly, just had FUN.
INROADS has been pivotal in my life because it has taught me how to maximize my potential and make the most of the opportunities presented to me. I am now a proud graduate of Bishop McNamara High School, and I am excited to attend the University of Maryland Baltimore County in the fall. Like my older brother, Josh, I now have the honor of saying, ‘I am an INROADS College Links graduate!’ and I look forward to becoming an INROADS intern while in college.
I want to wrap up with some lyrics from a song created by my brother and me entitled, “What’s Inside of You.” This song mirrors the lessons we have learned from the INROADS College Links program over the years.
Aren’t you getting tired of waiting, go IN and take it. You wonder where your destiny is, why don’t you make it. Stop just looking at the world, it's time to go out and face it. Listen to the words that I’m saying to YOU and start to CLAIM IT. Once you realize this, there’s nothing stopping you from GREATNESS. That’s What’s Inside of YOU…

OPENING DOORS NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE
Participating in the INROADS internship program has truly transformed my life. As a first-generation Latina student, navigating the academic and professional world has always felt daunting, with resources often feeling out of reach. INROADS not only bridged that gap but also opened doors I never thought possible. The program has given me more than just valuable work experience—it’s provided me with a community, mentorship, and the confidence to believe in my potential.
Through my internship at Arm in the summer of 2024, I gained an extraordinary amount of knowledge and hands-on experience that exceeded anything I could have imagined. It wasn’t just about learning technical skills—it was about growth, both as a professional and as a person. INROADS has empowered me to dream bigger and has equipped me with the tools to make those dreams a reality. The experience has left an indelible mark on my heart, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities it has given me to thrive in ways I never thought I could.
I was also honored to receive the Myrna Garcia Visiones Scholarship from INROADS, which holds deep meaning for me, both personally and academically. The journey through college has been filled with challenges, but this scholarship a rms the hard work, dedication, and perseverance I’ve invested in my education. It represents not only my own accomplishments but also the countless sacrifices my family has made to help me get to this point. This scholarship is a powerful reminder that my e orts are recognized and appreciated, and it fuels my determination to keep pushing forward, especially during di cult times.
As a first-generation Latina in engineering, my goals and aspirations for the future are deeply tied to the values of community, resilience, and empowerment that have shaped my journey. Growing up with immigrant parents who struggled to obtain an education, I’ve always been moved by their unshakable dedication and resilience. Watching them work tirelessly to build a better future, despite countless obstacles, has become a constant source of inspiration for me. I want to honor that by using my education and opportunities to give back.

After I graduate, I aspire to use my engineering skills to create innovative solutions that make a positive impact on communities that have traditionally been overlooked in the tech world. I’m passionate about making technology more accessible globally, particularly in communities that lack access to the resources they need to thrive.
