NOTICE TO THE 2019 BAR PASSERS RE: CLEARANCE PROCEDURE
Congratulations to all the 2019 Bar Passers! Prior to the oath taking and signing of the roll of attorneys, Bar Passers are required to obtain a clearance from the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) subject to identity and records verification. In view of the current public health emergency, clearance procedure for the 2019 Bar Passers will be conducted completely online. No Bar Passer shall be allowed to physically visit the OBC for this purpose. Instead, each Bar Passer is required to follow this procedure: 1. The Bar Passer, using one’s own e-mail address, shall send an e-mail to the OBC1 from May 11-22, 2020, stating his or her complete name in the subject line (e.g., Dela Cruz, Jo R.) and contact numbers in the body, and attaching two image (2) files: (a) law school or government-issued identification card bearing one’s photograph (See list in Annex A); and (b) his or her recent photograph holding a paper with full name and signature written on it. 2. Both attachments shall be in JPEG or PNG format with dimensions of no more than 3 by 5 inches and total file size of no more than 10MB, and shall indicate the Bar Passer’s complete name in the file names (e.g., Dela Cruz Jo R.1.jpeg and Dela Cruz Jo R.2.jpeg). 3. Bar Passers with surnames from Ababan to Del Rosario shall send their email to obc2019.clearance1@sc.judiciary.gov.ph; those with surnames from Dela Cruz to Monteclaro shall send their e-mails to obc2019.clearance2@sc.judiciary.gov.ph; and those with surnames from Montes to Zulueta shall send their e-mails to obc2019.clearance3@sc.judiciary.gov.ph. The OBC shall acknowledge receipt of the e-mail. 1 These e-mail addresses shall be used strictly and exclusively for the online clearance of the 2019 Bar Examinations’ passers. Other inquiries sent via these e-mail addresses shall not be entertained. For such inquiries, please call the OBC at (02) 852 68122.
