As of 4PM today, the Department of Health reports 128 new cases (PH1,419-PH1,546) of COVID-19. Total number of cases in the country is now at 1,546.
ON PREVIOUSLY-REPORTED CASES Today, DOH announces seven additional deaths and no new recoveries. The total number of recoveries is still at 42, while the total number of deaths is now at 78. PH149 - 72nd PH death ● 61-year old Filipino female from Makati City ● With no travel and exposure history ● Died on March 27, 1:29PM ● Confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 16 ● Cause of death: Acute Respiratory Failure secondary to Community-acquired Pneumonia secondary to COVID-19 ● Other comorbidities: Hypertension PH587 - 73rd PH death ● 79-year old Filipino male from Muntinlupa City ● With no travel history ● Died on March 29, 3:52AM ● Confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 24 ● Cause of death: Acute Respiratory Failure secondary to Pneumonia COVID-19 PH647 - 74th PH death ● 43-year old Filipino male from Parañaque City ● With no travel and exposure history ● Died on March 27, 7:58PM ● Confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 25 ● Cause of death: Acute Respiratory Failure secondary to Pneumonia COVID-19, Myocardial Dysfunction
