Hello peeps, It’s been a while since the Editor shared some words with you. The time spent introducing this concept magazine in 3 international languages has been - interesting and fascinating. We have various artists/creatives with some works that deserved to be shown.

We have also interviewed Models & Photographers who are also the forgotten ones – when people think of creatives.

This magazine is new and we have written & emailed people asking them for their opinions and suggestions on how to improve our digital communication. Most of you have been rather reticent or have had nothing to say!

The publication has comment boxes on Wordpress, Yudu and Issuu which you are free to use for any constructive comments and have barely been used.

Although I would like to thank the few of you who have come back and pointed to human error and how best to improve it (1/2 stretched photos), this has been noted and taken on board – so we will try a different way to present those photos in order to avoid this.

Our most popular edition is with Cover Girl – Cyan Cheung which has almost worldwide coverage inclusive of the islands.

Edition 3 with Rachel Deeming is next covering South America America, Europe and Poland.

Edition 1 (The Launch is next) and this edition has more of a dedicated following than the mentioned top 2 especially in America, France, Italy and Africa.

Whilst we do hope that the purpose of this magazine is never lost and remains the same, we still have room for improvement in how we sort out our creative art work, and at the same time hope that the exposure is of benefit to you all, as the Editor did place the publication next to the likes of FHM magazine.

Last but not least we would like to say a big goodbye to our Contributing Photographer – Stormy Couture – we thank you and wish you the best in your career.

Meanwhile, please enjoy our content which is coming out monthly over the pending Christmas period and will return to just being a bi-monthly.

Also I would like to thank Artist – Giacomo Grandamore – for his complimentary emails, letting us know that his career has shot up and that he plans a detour in his Tour to meet up the Editor personally. The same goes to Jessica Celious and Cilla K for whom things have really gone well and still continue to improve. Thank you for your personal emails to the Editor – and you are most welcome!

Bonjour potes, Il a été un moment depuis l'éditeur de partager quelques mots avec vous. Le temps consacré à l'introduction de ce magazine concept en 3 langues internationales a été intéressant et fascinant. Nous avons divers artistes / créateurs avec des œuvres qui méritent d'être montré.

Nous avons également interrogé les modèles et photographes qui sont aussi les plus grands oubliés quand les gens pensent de créations.

Ce magazine est nouveau et nous avons écrit aux publique pour leur demander leur avis et suggestions sur la façon d'améliorer notre communication numérique. La plupart d'entre vous ont été plutôt réticents ou ont eu rien à dire!

La publication a boîtes de commentaires sur Wordpress, Yudu et Issuu que vous êtes libre d'utiliser à des commentaires constructifs et ont à peine été utilisé.

Bien que je tiens à remercier les quelques d'entre vous qui sont revenus et ont pointe l'erreur humaine et la meilleure façon de l'améliorer (1 / 2 photos étirées), ce qui a été noté et pris en compte - donc on va essayer une autre façon de présenter ces photos afin d'éviter cela.

Notre édition la plus populaire est avec Cover Girl - Cyan Cheung qui a presque compris une couverture mondiale des îles.

Edition 3 avec Rachel Deeming est à côté couvrant l'Amérique du Sud Amérique, en Europe et en Pologne.

Edition 1 (le lancement est prochaine) et cette édition a plus d'un dédié suivantes que les 2 haut mentionné en particulier en Amérique, la France, l'Italie et l'Afrique.

Alors nous espérons que le but de cette revue n'est jamais perdu et reste la même, nous avons encore place à amélioration dans notre façon de régler notre travail de création artistique, et à l'espoir en même temps que l'exposition est bénéfique pour vous tous, que l'éditeur n'a lieu la prochaine publication à des gens comme le magazine FHM. Hola píos, Ha sido un tiempo desde el Editor de compartir unas palabras con usted. El tiempo dedicado a la introducción de este concepto de la revista en tres idiomas internacionales ha sido interesante y fascinante. Tenemos varios artistas / creativos con algunas obras que merecen ser demostrado.

También hemos entrevistado Modelos y fotógrafos que también están los olvidados - cuando la gente piensa de los creativos.

Esta revista es nueva y que hemos escrito y enviado por correo electrónico pidiendo que la gente por sus opiniones y sugerencias sobre cómo mejorar nuestra comunicación digital. La mayoría de ustedes han sido más bien reticente o no han tenido nada que decir!

The Beauty of Mint Peppermint or spearmint tea are excellent antidote to acidy and heartburn along with other stomach complaints. Take a tip from African & Middle Eastern Countries:- Drink as much this tea are required – especially after most meals.

This is not a cure all but an aid – if you have serious stomach problems – we suggest you consult a Doctor.

Mint generally relieves an acid stomach, flatulence, colic, nausea and indigestion!

Best to make your tea from fresh leaves! There are many different types of mint, but we suggest that you only use peppermint or spearmint.

The flavour and aroma of both is different and their similarity is that they can both be used for stomach upsets.

Take 50g of fresh leaves (or 25g of dried mint leaves) 600ml of water

Wash and chop the mint leaves if you are using the fresh ones. Remove thick tough stems as you proceed.

Place the mint in a heatproof container and add 600g of boiling water

Cover the container and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain through a sieve and use as required Tip: The tea will keep for 48 hours in the fridge and can be gently reheated.

Tip: Use spearmint tea only – for children as its flavour is not as strong as mint & the effect is also milder

GIVE YOURSELF A MINI MANICURE Most of us tend to use our hands a lot – but have little time to cherish them (apart from the usual nail extensions). So here is something that you can do for them and yourself at home.

Remember that hands can age faster than the face – they will enjoy this little treat!

Buy Arnica essential oil (if pure dilute with almond oil or add a few drops to 20ml of vegetable oil)

Warm this oil in a glass bowl to body temperature

Sit down comfortably and soak your hands in the mixture until it cools completely

Your skin will be revitalised and rejuvenated – your nails strengthened and fortified.

You can now gently file your nails to the best shape to suit your hands and then apply your favourite nail polish colour. Try to do this regularly along with your usual facial If all else fails – cheat! Go to a beauty salon and have it done by professionals.

Take an orange stick and gently push back your cuticles

Whilst there is still oil on your hands – massage your palms and fingers with slow circular movements until you feel your tendons relax and warm up

Rinse your hands with lukewarm water or alternatively wear cotton gloves without rinsing off and sleep with them on until morning.

FENG ZHOU Feminine drapery reminiscent of the Old Orient. What makes this young ladies line so attractive is the designs would suit any figure and although loose – they are not bulky.

WHAT IS SIIDILABOR? Siidilabor is the name of our workshop in Paris and our store in Tallinn. It sounds a little Japanese or Brazilian and most of people spell it wrong. The word is actually Estonian and simply means “the silk lab”.

Siidilabor creates handmade jewellery and accessories. We never produce items in series; each creation is unique, so the work we do with our favourite photographers in Paris is very important. And we regularly hold exhibitions of their work in our shop.

Our last collections Bisous Magiques, Les Espions Sans Frontières and Comtesse Ouvrière have all appeared on french television. We do a lot of work for actresses and singers, so these creations are really made for women who are not afraid to be stand out from the crowd. In the meantime, Siidilabor itself likes to hide behind the scenes and let its work speak for itself.

Our inspirations come form classical culture history and champagne , but also from cabaret, ballet and tango. We don't worry about trends, we believe our success comes simply from producing pieces that are beautiful, elegant, well informed and charming.

HOW WAS IT FIRST CREATED? The company was created thanks to a ghost living in a medieval house in Tallinn.

To explain a little more: Tallinn is of course the capital of Estonia, and a charming and very cultural town (in 2011 it will be the European capital of culture!) It's a northern town, full of medieval legends.

A few years ago, a group of Parisian designers were spending their holidays in the city, and fell in love with the mystery of the place.

What's more, rent was cheap, so it seemed the

ideal place to start a business. The building we found in the centre of town was apparently haunted so it seemed ideal for us.

Unfortunately on our arrival there, the ghost was nowhere to be seen so our lawyer is currently working on getting us some kind of refund, but it seems it's not that easy proving the non-existence of a ghost...

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR CREATIVE TALENTS? That's another one of our little secrets. Our designers have a wealth of experience not only in fashion but in many varied fields.

What brings them together? Most of them are also good chess players, good argentine tango dancers, they speak 3 or 4 languages and they are not attached to their own nation or nationality, they feel European.

The only essentials: they must be accomplished in classical drawing and painting, they must have a sense of classical culture and they must have an interesting past. And most important of all, they must never stop learning.

Most of them have been worked previously for very commercial projects in fashion or in feature films or advertising and now just happens to be a good time for them to work on something completely personal. They have been always working to order, but in Siidilabor they work on projects of their own making. Of course they collaborate with other designers, and they can help costume designers or stylists to find among the Siidilabor collections items which are suited to anyone from a rock star to an opera singer. But we won't make something according to a client's own design.

Having said that, it occasionally happens that Siidilabor is inspired by a client and makes an accessory or piece of jewellery thinking about what might suit a particular individual. Most of our clients in show

business and indeed, they often do have very inspiring characters.

ARE ANY OF THE CREATIVES ON THE SITE ATTACHED TO AN AGENT/AGENCY? Not anymore. Some of our stylists are still connected with some agencies to work for catalogues, but only for commercial works of course. Commercial projects give great experience and contacts, but none of this commercial work is connected with the Siidilabor project. Siidilabor is very independent. For us, our work with fashion photographers is essential. The photographers are usually connected with an agency, as well as the models, MUAs and hair stylists.

We don't make photos for our own catalogues as we don’t produce anything in series. We only work on photos of our collections with photographers who are simply looking to take a great shot.

WHO ARE YOUR HOTEST DESIGNERS CURRENTLY? They are all very hot at the moment! We work all together under the name of Siidilabor, and we couldn't possibly single out any one. Rather than do that promote the collections, our designers make, collections such as Riche Héritière, Bisous Magiques, Comtesse Ouvrière and Divorcing Soon.

Siidilabor is a very young group, and that group is always growing and changing.

Instead we can say that we are all united by a common idea; everybody can continue all activities under their own name, but everything we do toghether to create the collections for Siidilabor, will stay in Siidilabor.

For example for many collections we are working together as individuals or as a

team of two people. One person starts the creation and and the other finishes the work on it.

WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A DESIGN COLLECTIVE? Yes, absolutley.

WHY PARIS? Because Paris is the revolution in the morning and a dinner at Ritz, Paris is our home and everybody who is working in an elegant and sophisticated style has to spend time in Paris at least once in their life. It's a very international town, it has a great spirit, a huge quantity of very creative people live here. They might come from London or Los Angeles or New York but in Paris they become Parisians.

This city loves life and it has a soul which is not for sale; Paris gives us the photos of Flavia Raddavero, Marco Adriano, Michaël Guichard. It has last small independent movie theaters in the world, independent fashion designers with their own small shops in Marais, great photo studios, great model agencies.

Paris has actresses, singers, journalists who all want to wear sophisticated and elegant creations.

WHAT KIND OF CREATIVES DO YOU TAKE – JUST JEWELLERY & FASHION OR IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MILLINERS ETC? We specialise in jewellery and accessories, so yes, milliners are part of that; we already have several in Siidilabor.

DO YOU HAVE TO BE PARIS BASED TO JOIN OR AS LONG AS YOU ARE FRENCH OR ESTONIAN BASED SOMEWHERE ELSE – YOU CAN STILL QUALIFY? Siidilabor has nothing to do with nationality or borders. We are Paris based and have a

shop in Tallinn, but friendship counts most of all. In Siidilabor we simply have a collective of designers who work well together.

If one of them recommends another designer, as long as we get on well with them and we like their work, we'll encourage them to join our group.

Sometimes people ask if there is a fee to join Siidilabor. No, there is no fee; you can't put a price on friendship.

COMMENT AVEZ VOUS COMMENCE VOTRE MARQUE? Grâce à une maison hantée. Il y a bien une explication à cela ; Quelques designers français ont passé leurs vacances à Tallinn, en Estonie. La crise économique venait de commencer aussi et les maisons dans la vieille ville de Tallinn n’étaient pas trop chères. Il y avait en plus une à louer avec un fantôme, alors comment résister?

onc il semblait l'endroit idéal pour démarrer une entreprise. Le bâtiment, nous avons constaté que le centre de la ville était apparemment hanté de sorte qu'il semblait idéal pour nous. Malheureusement à notre arrivée là-bas, le fantôme était nulle part pour être vu donc notre avocat travaille actuellement pour nous recevions une sorte de restitution, mais il semble que ce n'est pas si facile de prouver la non-existence d'un fantôme ...

Donc on avait des locaux d’abord et les collections sont venues après.

C’était une occasion d’ouvrir la boutique et d’avoir un atelier aussi à Tallinn. C’est une ville très charmante, médiévale, remplie de légendes, à trois heures de vol de Paris, donc pas vraiment plus loin de Paris que Marseille en Tgv. Et en même temps c’était pour nous aussi une possibilité de nous développer vers les Pays Baltes. En Janvier 2011 l’Estonie passe aussi dans le zone euro et la même année Tallinn sera la capitale culturelle Européenne, donc le moment de commencer quelque chose à Tallinn était bien choisi aussi. En plus si vous avez l’occasion d’avoir un fantôme à vous…

Il faut malheureusement dire que notre fantôme… il n’existe pas. C’est très dérangeant. Actuellement nous sommes en train de négocier pour qu’on nous rende l’argent que nous avons payé pour le fantôme, notre avocat s’en occupe. Mais bien évidement il est aussi très difficile de prouver qu’un fantôme n’existe pas.

COMMENT CHOISISSEZ VOS TALENTS CREATIFS? C'est un aure de nos petits secrets. Nos designers ont une grande expérience non seulement dans la mode, mais dans de nombreux domaines variés. Ce qui les rassemble? La plupart d'entre eux sont aussi des joueurs d'échecs bon, bon danseurs de tango argentin, ils parlent de 3 ou 4 langues et ils ne sont pas attachés à leur nation ou de nationalité, ils se sentent européens.

L'essentiel seulement: ils doivent être accomplis dans l'élaboration et la peinture classique, ils doivent avoir un sens de la culture classique et ils doivent avoir un passé intéressant. Et le plus important de tous, ils ne doivent jamais cesser d'apprendre.

QUELLES SONT LES INSPIRATIONS DERRIERE VOS CREATIONS? L’inspiration vient du cœur et il n’y a jamais rien de raisonnable là-dedans. Les collections… on peut dire qu’elles nous trouvent. Comme Les Espions Sans Frontières, Cygne Rose, Bisous Magiques, Comtesse Ouvrière.

La plupart d'entre eux ont été déjà travaillé pour des projets commerciaux très à la mode ou dans des longs métrages ou de la publicité et maintenant se trouve être un bon moment pour eux de travailler sur quelque chose de tout à fait personnel. Ils ont toujours été à l'ordre de travail, mais dans Siidilabor ils travaillent sur des projets de leur propre fabrication. Bien sûr, ils collaborent avec d'autres designers, et ils peuvent aider les créateurs de costumes ou de stylistes de trouver parmi les collections

Pour Comtesse Ouvrière nous avons utilisé des pierres précieuses ; c’était obligatoire pour créer une collection pour les femmescendrillon .

Riche Héritière est notre produit « vert », 98% fait de matériaux réutilisés. Grâce aux pulls de nos amies, merci ! Nous avons utilisés la laine de ces pulls pour en faire des bonnets chics, brodés avec les pierres ou perles de verre. Et puisque tout le monde n’a pas d’oreilles percées, nous avons rajouté à ces bonnets des très grandes boucles d’oreilles qui sont portables sur le bonnet. Bien sûr, on peut aussi les séparer du bonnet et les porter sans le bonnet.

Bisous Magiques est une collection d’accessoires et de bijoux. En la faisant nous avons pensé aux journalistes et aux actrices qui doivent souvent aller aux festivals y travailler ou pour se montrer. Nous connaissons l’angoisse des actrices la veille du départ… Alors nous avons fabriqué une solution de secours qui allait parfaitement avec la crise économique. On peut avoir des robes noires très simples et presque invisibles si on porte des boucles d’oreilles inoubliables.

Pendant un cocktail, les gens se souviennent plus de votre visage que de votre robe, surtout s’il y a beaucoup de monde. Avec des boucles d’oreilles énormes en couleurs différentes, vous laissez l’impression de changer votre tenue et d’être très différent chaque soir. Mais pour fabriquer ces boucles d’oreilles, il faut donc utiliser aussi des matériaux très légers comme le bambou, le plastique, du tissu.

Sinon ces boucles deviennent trop lourdes pour être portées. Aujourd’hui, Bisous Magiques plait beaucoup aux chanteuses et nous utilisons maintenant des perles qui brillent plus dans le noir ou qui réagissent dans la lumière des projecteurs.

La Collection Divorcing Soon a été créée contre les robes dites « tartes » ; Vous savez, les robes de mariée où la cliente ne souhaite pas beaucoup écouter l’avis du designer, mais

essaie plutôt de monter le devis et jouer ellemême avec les montagnes de tulle, des roses, de soie. Et dont le résultat est souvent ‘tarte’.

Malgré l’effort de designer et les 20 000 euros dépensés, ces robes ont l’air de n’en coûter que 100 ! Ce sont des robes de mariée qui donnent envie de divorcer tout de suite. Et voilà donc la collection Divorcing Soon en dentelle blanche.

Et puis… l’inspiration, l’inspiration, mais ce qui nous fascine c’est ce que font les photographes de mode avec nos créations pendant un shoot photo. Pour nous, la photo de mode de nos collections est très importante, nous choisissons les pièces pour un certain photographe en pensant déjà à son travail, à ses goûts. Quand le résultat donne plus qu’une page de mode, nous organisons aussi des expositions de ces photographes qui ont utilisés nos collections pendant leur shoot dans notre boutique à Tallinn.

Actuellement, nous avons en exposition les photos de Flavia Raddavero. Celles de Michael Guichard vont suivre très bientôt et, au début de l’année prochaine, nous accueillons les photos du réalisateur Jethro Massey avec son projet retro « Who were you ?». Et ça continue.

Il nous est déjà arrivé de passer aussi quelques jours et nuits pour broder des corsets pour le photographe Vincent Toulotte qui traite ses images d’une façon très particulière. Donc, pour donner plus de matière aux images qui allaient être photographiées en noir et blanc, nous avons complété quelques créations ; donc il est évident que ça les change.

AVEZ-VOUS FAIT DES ETUDES DE BIJOUX ?

Nous avons fait beaucoup d’études. Mais pas particulièrement des études de bijoux. Les études de dessins classique, de théâtre, de littérature, de langues, oui. Le reste, c’est juste différentes techniques et nous continuons d’en apprendre. De toute façons,

il faut toujours continuer d’apprendre quelque chose, la vie ne s’arrête pas avec un diplôme.

Mais il faut apprendre à comprendre aussi la vie, ce qui se passe dans le monde et non pas que ce qui se passe juste avec les producteurs d’un tissu ou une marque de couleur que nous utilisons pour peindre. Nous ne voulons pas dire ‘il faut’ Pour nous, il faut aussi apprendre l’histoire du champagne, il faut savoir danser le tango, savoir conduire un avion si on n’a pas de permis voiture et …savoir garder les secrets.

Ce qui est le plus difficile d’apprendre : c’est le sens d’humour et l’élégance.

AVEZ-VOUS DES REVENDEURS ?

Oui. Tout d’abord nous avons notre boutique à Tallinn. A Paris nous n’avons pas de boutique, mais un atelier pour y travailler. Nous participons aussi beaucoup à des ventes privées et, bien sur, nous avons aussi certaines de nos créations dans quelques boutiques dans le Marais.

Siidilabor existe depuis peu de temps. Notre site vient d’être mis en ligne, mais est encore en création et nous allons y rajouter très bientôt notre boutique en ligne ; nous serons donc accessibles partout dans le monde. Surtout les collections Les Espions Sans Frontières, Comtesse Ouvrière et Bisous Magiques.

Nous allons aussi collaborer avec un site très sympathique qui sélectionne bien ses créateurs.

TOUS LES BIJOUX SONT-ILS FAIT MAIN ?

Oui. Ce sont tous des pièces uniques ; actuellement nous évitons même de produire quelque chose en petite série. Chaque pièce est différente.

QUI EST DERRIERE ESPIONS SANS FRONTIERES (LA FACE CACHEE DE…) ?

On ne sait pas. D’ailleurs, on dit que la curiosité a tué le chat…

¿QUÉ ES SIIDILABOR? Siidilabor es el nombre de nuestro taller en París y en nuestra tienda en Tallin. Suena un poco japonesa o brasileña y la mayoría de la gente mal hechizo. La palabra es en realidad de Estonia y simplemente significa "el laboratorio de la seda".

Siidilabor crea joyas hechas a mano y accesorios. Nunca producir artículos en serie, cada creación es única, por lo que el trabajo que hacemos con nuestros fotógrafos favoritos en París es muy importante. Y que regularmente llevan a cabo exposiciones de su trabajo en nuestra tienda.

Nuestras colecciones última Bisous Magiques, Les espías sin Fronteras y Obrera condesa han aparecido en la televisión francés. Hacemos un montón de trabajo para las actrices y cantantes, por lo que estas creaciones son realmente hecho para las mujeres que no tienen miedo a destacar entre la multitud.

Mientras tanto, Siidilabor sí le gusta esconderse detrás de la escena y dejar que su trabajo hable por sí misma. Nuestra inspiración viene la historia forma la cultura clásica y el champán, pero también de cabaret, el ballet y el tango. No se preocupe acerca de las tendencias, creemos que nuestro éxito proviene simplemente de la producción de piezas que son hermosos, elegantes, bien informados y con encanto.

COMO FUE CREADA LA PRIMERA? La empresa fue creada gracias a la vida fantasma en una casa medieval en Tallin.

Para explicar un poco más: Tallin, por supuesto, la capital de Estonia, y un pueblo encantador y muy cultural (en 2011 será la capital europea de la cultura!) Es una ciudad del norte, llena de leyendas medievales. Hace unos años, un grupo de diseñadores parisinos que pasan sus vacaciones en la ciudad, y se enamoró con el misterio del lugar. Es más, el alquiler era barato,

por lo que parecía el lugar ideal para iniciar un negocio. El edificio se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad fue perseguido al parecer, por lo que parecía ideal para nosotros.

Lamentablemente al llegar allí, el fantasma no estaba a la vista por lo que nuestro abogado está trabajando actualmente en llevarnos algún tipo de reembolso, pero parece que no es tan fácil probar la no existencia de un fantasma ¿CÓMO ELEGIR SU TALENTO CREATIVO? Ese es otro de nuestros pequeños secretos.

Nuestros diseñadores tienen una amplia experiencia no sólo en la moda, sino en muchos y variados campos. ¿Qué los une? La mayoría de ellos también son buenos jugadores de ajedrez, buena bailarines de tango argentino, hablan de 3 o 4 idiomas y no están apegados a su propia nación o nacionalidad, se sienten europeos. Lo esencial sólo: deben llevarse a cabo en el dibujo y la pintura clásica, deben tener un sentido de la cultura clásica y deben contar con un interesante pasado. Y lo más importante de todo, nunca debe dejar de aprender.

La mayoría de ellos han trabajado anteriormente para proyectos muy comerciales en la moda o en el cine o la publicidad y ahora sólo pasa a ser un buen momento para que trabajen en algo completamente personal.

Ellos han sido siempre de trabajo a fin, pero en Siidilabor que trabajan en proyectos de su propia creación. Por supuesto que colaborar con otros diseñadores, y pueden ayudar a los diseñadores de vestuario o estilistas para buscar entre los artículos Siidilabor colecciones que se adaptan a cualquier persona de una estrella de rock con un cantante de ópera. Pero no vamos a hacer algo según el diseño propio de un cliente.

Dicho esto, de vez en cuando sucede que Siidilabor se inspira en un cliente y hace un

accesorio o una pieza de joyería a pensar en lo que podría adaptarse a una persona en particular. La mayoría de nuestros clientes en el mundo del espectáculo y, de hecho, a menudo tienen caracteres muy inspirador.

SE ADJUNTA A CUALQUIERA DE LA CREATIVIDAD EN EL SITIO CONECTADO A UN AGENTE / AGENCIA? Ya no es así. Algunos de nuestros estilistas siguen conectados con algunas agencias para trabajar para los catálogos, pero sólo para trabajos de índole comercial, por supuesto. Nosotros no hacemos las fotos de nuestros propios catálogos, ya que no produce nada en serie. Nosotros sólo trabajamos en las fotos de nuestras colecciones con los fotógrafos que están buscando simplemente a tomar un gran disparo. ¿QUIÉNES SON SUS HOTEST DISEÑADORES ACTUALMENTE? Todos ellos son muy calientes en el momento! Trabajamos todos juntos bajo el nombre de Siidilabor, y que no podría señalar a nadie. En lugar de hacer que promueven las colecciones, los diseñadores que, colecciones como Riche Héritière, Magiques Bisous, Obrera condesa y se divorcian pronto.

Siidilabor es un grupo muy joven, y ese grupo está siempre creciendo y cambiando.

En su lugar podemos decir que estamos todos unidos por una idea común, todo el mundo puede seguir todas las actividades bajo su propio nombre, pero todo lo que se

unen para crear las colecciones para Siidilabor, se quedará en Siidilabor.

Por ejemplo, para muchas colecciones que están trabajando juntos como individuos o como un equipo de dos personas. Una persona comienza la creación y el y el otro acaba el trabajo en él. ¿SE DESCRIBIRÍA USTED COMO UN COLECTIVO DE DISEÑO? Sí, Absolumente. ¿POR QUÉ PARÍS? Debido a que París es la revolución en la mañana y una cena en el Ritz, París es nuestro hogar y todo el mundo que está trabajando en un estilo elegante y sofisticado tiene que pasar un tiempo en París al menos una vez en su vida. Es una ciudad muy internacional, tiene un gran espíritu, una gran cantidad de gente muy creativa vivir aquí. Pueden venir de Londres o Los Ángeles o Nueva York, pero en París se convierten en los parisinos.

Esta ciudad ama la vida y tiene un alma que no está a la venta, París nos da las fotos de Flavia Raddavero, Adriano, Marco, Michaël Guichard. Ha pasado los pequeños teatros de películas independientes en el mundo, los diseñadores de moda independientes con sus propias tiendas pequeñas en el Marais, estudios de gran foto, las agencias de gran modelo.

PURE 2010

Well this is the season for most creatives as it is coming up to Christmas, and despite the recession people still have to supply and provide some sort of love tokens as presents.

The Editor and a team member attended the first of PURE 2 London Expos at Olympia.

For some time now the Editor had noticed that PURE had lost site of its original ideal – which to her understanding was to bring unknown talent to the forefront!

Lets not jump the gun, but although common sense dictates that well established names and brands are always necessary to sustain your business or more bluntly your bank account – do they really need a catwalk show to display their wares, when you can walk down any high street in the country and step into their stores?

And more often than not you can see them on in newspapers or magazines being able to afford advertising at ridiculous prices!

The Editor did question this and made it a vocal concern which she expressed to PURE through their usual surveys. This summer was one of change. PURE put some unknown designers on the catwalk, re-arranged it floor plan, which we could not quite decipher and grouped young talent together, and the golden oldies of fashion sustainability in separate sections.

Despite that, the staff were quite clueless, barely able to give us the right directions and for the love of God did not even know where the box for the so called competition was, it took 3 hours for that particular mystery to be resolved and in the end it was us who actually found it – no doubt you would guess that we obviously did not win anything, as we did not even know at what time the draw was!!!

There were some good bargains to be found over there, as there were stands

such as LUICHINY SHOES which had some fantastic stilettos at amazing prices starting from £14 and the customer service by both of the ladies was great.

We got to take in one fashion show, and the most ridiculous thing that is PURE is that they banned taking photos – so we had to question this, the items on display are labelled and clearly on sale …so what in the name of Job do they think we would do with the pictures?

Generally, it was an interesting day out and I saw other designers who obviously have found some investment to be able to carry on and afford the high priced stands that were on offer – we enclose a few photos of the show and what was on display.

The one thing I must say that I regret was not being able to find Faustine G, as we looked for her – could not find her and got tired of being misdirected by the pretty but useless staff, that looked like they were under aged and over made up dollies, with barely a brain cell between them (the 2 girls wearing the V Fox Hats).

To be honest the customer service is lousy at PURE, I know of people who have emailed the young lady responsible for informing you of the cost of a stand and the procedure necessary for application and guess what………..even after 3 months and numerous emails that young woman has not responded to a single email.

PURE YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE…….this would actually prevent you from having to do surveys every 6 months to find out why things are not going so well!!

PURE 2010 Pues esta es la temporada para la mayoría de los creativos, ya que se acerca a la Navidad, ya pesar de la recesión la gente todavía tiene a la oferta y ofrecer algún tipo de fichas amor como regalo.

El editor y miembro del equipo asistieron a la primera de PURE Expos 2 en el Olympia de Londres. Desde hace algún tiempo el editor había dado cuenta de que había perdido PURE sitio de su ideal original - que a su entender era traer talento desconocido a la vanguardia!

Vamos a no saltar el arma, pero, aunque el sentido común dicta que los nombres bien establecidos y las marcas mencionadas son siempre necesarios para mantener su negocio o más abiertamente su cuenta bancaria - es lo que realmente necesita un desfile para mostrar sus productos, cuando se puede caminar por cualquier alta la calle en el país y entrar en sus tiendas? Y más a menudo que no se pueden ver en los periódicos o revistas que se pueden pagar publicidad a precios ridículos!

obviamente, no ganó nada, ya que ni siquiera sabía a qué hora del sorteo!

Hubo algunos buenos negocios que se encuentran allí, ya que se encuentra, como zapatos LUICHINY que había algunos Stiletto excepcional a precios increíbles a partir de £ 14, y el servicio al cliente, tanto de las damas era grande.

El editor puso en duda este hecho y una preocupación vocales que expresó a través de sus encuestas PURE habitual. Este verano fue uno de los cambios. PURE poner un poco de diseñadores desconocidos en la pasarela, volver a organizar planta, que no pudimos descifrar y bastante talento joven agrupados juntos, y el fondo de oro de la sostenibilidad de la moda en secciones separadas.

A pesar de ello, el personal era muy despistado, apenas capaz de darnos la dirección correcta y por el amor de Dios ni siquiera sabe donde está el cuadro para el concurso llamado fue, tomó 3 horas para que el misterio particular por resolver y en Al final, fuimos nosotros quienes en realidad se encuentran - sin duda lo haría cosechar que,

La única cosa que debo decir que lamento no ser capaz de encontrar Faustine G, al mirar para ella - no la encontró y se cansó de ser mal dirigido por el personal de bonita, pero inútil, que parecía que eran menores de edad y más formado por plataformas, con apenas una célula cerebral entre ellas (las 2 chicas con el V Fox Sombreros).

Para ser honesto el servicio al cliente es pésimo en el PURE, sé de personas que han enviado por correo electrónico a la joven responsable de informarle del coste de un stand y el procedimiento necesario para la aplicación y ¿adivinen qué ... ... ... .., incluso después de 3 meses y numerosos correos electrónicos que la joven no ha respondido a un solo correo electrónico.

PURA QUE NECESITA PARA CAMBIAR SU ACTITUD DE SERVICIO AL CLIENTE Y...... En realidad, esto le impide tener que hacer encuestas cada 6 meses para averiguar por qué las cosas no van tan bien!

The Editor of Inn Trend did turn up to give support mainly to Flore as this undertaking was now a new venture and branch of her business. This young woman has never studied or learnt to sew and was able to create a stunning green outfit with a large hat which was also handmade by herself for this launch.

The Gaumont State is an historical building which has been noted for its architecture, but unfortunate the editor felt that the location was wrong – as it was too busy and a little too dark, which did nothing for digital equipment users and probably involved a lot of cleaning up work.

L'État Gaumont est un bâtiment historique qui a été noté pour son architecture, mais malheureusement l'éditeur a estimé que l'endroit était de mauvais gout - car il était trop occupé et un peu trop sombre, qui n'a rien fait pour les utilisateurs d'équipements numériques/digitals et probablement impliqué beaucoup de nettoyage de travail.

El Estado Gaumont es un edificio histórico que ha sido conocida por su arquitectura, pero lamentable el editor considera que el lugar estaba equivocado - ya que estaba demasiado ocupado y un poco demasiado oscura, que no hizo nada para los usuarios de equipos digitales y la probable implicación de una gran cantidad de la limpieza de trabajo.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE BUSINESS? 2009 Lanyero was established, with the collection “The African Ballerina”. The African Ballerina brought together by the use of lace, tulle, appliqué, creativity, love, fun and style.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A DESIGNER AND TO USE AFRICAN PRINTS MIXED WITH WESTERN FABRICS? What has inspired the brand LANYERO to be born came about in 2005 when I was on trip in Uganda and just falling in love prints and the excitement of creating things with them. It then became something that I wanted to share. The use of other fabrics and mixing, that would probably be from my personal style of mix and matching thing.

WHERE DID YOU TRAIN OR STUDY FASHION? The truth is I would not credit what I am doing and any of my talents to any institute as when I left my study I still unable to make a garment.

DO YOU ONLY DO WOMENS WEAR OR ARE YOU CONSIDERING MENSWEAR WEAR ALSO? So far I have only been working on women’s wear but this is only the

beginning and as the Lanyero brand grows it will move into different areas…so watch this space!

DO YOU HAVE A WORK ETHIC? In order to build and succeed in anything one needs to put in a lot work. So hard work is key, perseverance and seriousness about what it is that I am doing.

DO YOU HAVE A SHOP OR STOCKISTS/ WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR CREATIONS? I’m currently working on www.lanyero.com and also looking for outlets for stock my stuff in. Lanyero’s current price range is from £20 to £200.

I SEE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ATTENDING AND PARTICIPATING IN A LOT OF AFRO ORIENTATED FASHION SHOWS (WE ALSO NOTE THAT YOU DID ONE FOR CANCER RESEARCH) - IS THAT DELIBERATE? Has a young up and coming designer is your people and the community that will first support and acknowledge your work.

So I would not say it has

been deliberate but probably more of a natural process, though what is natural is deliberate. But also I think I have been truly blessed that people have taken note and have been very supportive of what I am doing as this will enable my brand to grow and reach out further and for this I am very grateful.

DO YOU TAKE COMMISSIONS AND HOW CAN WE CONTACT YOU IF INTERESTED IN YOUR DESIGNS? Commission work is not offered at present but I am always more than happy to work with whatever fabric one has.

WHO WOULD BE THE IDEAL CELEBRITY TO MODEL/ OR SEE IN YOUR BRAND? I think I would love to see Rihanna in Lanyero, as she is an individual who is fashion forward and very stylish. She is not afraid to be a bit different and that is what Lanyero is about and besides clothes just looks great on her.

WHAT DID YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOUR AMBITION TO BECOME A FASHION DESIGNER? My family have been very supportive on this journey - I have chosen to be a fashion designer.

LANYERO MEANING (ONE WHO LAUGHS) BUT DO YOU REALLY OR RATHER HAVE YOU REALLY ON THIS JOURNEY TO TRY TO ESTABLISH YOUR BRAND? The road to establishing Lanyero has been quite fun and very interesting and it has been important for me to try and laugh along the way as the fashion business is a very serious business.

Donc, je ne dirais pas qu'il a été délibéré, mais sans doute un processus naturel, mais ce qui est naturel est délibérée. Mais je pense aussi que j'ai été vraiment bénie que les gens ont pris note et ont été très favorables envers ce que je fais, car cela permettra que ma marque devienne plus connus et d'atteindre d'autres public et pour cela je suis très reconnaissante.

COMMENT VOS MODÈLES ONT ETE REÇU PAR VOTRE PUBLIC? La réception que ma marque a reçue est très positive que les gens pensent que Lanyero offre quelque chose de frais.

QUI SERAIT LA VEDETTE IDEALE A VOIR DANS VOTRE MARQUE? Je pense que je voudrais bien voir Rihanna en Lanyero, comme elle est une personne qui est à la mode en avant et très élégant.

Elle n'a pas peur d'être un peu différente et c'est ce qui est d'environ Lanyero vêtements et d'ailleurs l'air génial sur elle.

QUE PENSENT VOS PARENTS DE VOTRE AMBITION ?

Ma famille a été très favorable à ce voyage - j'ai choisi d'être un créateur de mode.

IMPRESIONES DE ÁFRICA OCCIDENTAL MIXTA CON TELAS? Lo que ha inspirado la LANYERO marca de nacer se produjo en 2005 cuando estaba en viaje en Uganda y acaba enamorándose imprime y la emoción de crear cosas con ellos. Pero también creo que he sido una verdadera bendición que la gente ha tomado nota y han dado mucho apoyo a lo que estoy haciendo ya que esto permitirá a mi marca para crecer y llegar más lejos y por eso estoy muy agradecido.

CÓMO TENER SU DISEÑOS SIDO RECIBIDO POR SU PÚBLICO OBJETIVO? La acogida que ha recibido mi marca es muy positiva que la gente siente que Lanyero está ofreciendo algo fresco. ¿QUIÉN SERÍA EL CELEBRITAD IDEAL PARA MODELO O VER EN TU MARCA? Creo que me encantaría ver a Rihanna en Lanyero, como ella es una persona que está de moda hacia adelante y con mucho estilo. Ella no tiene miedo de ser un poco diferente y eso es lo Lanyero se trata de

ropa y además sólo se ve muy bien de ella. ¿QUÉ HIZO SU PADRES PENSAR EN SU AMBICIÓN DE CONVERTIRSE EN DISEÑADORA DE MODAS? Mi familia me han apoyado mucho en este viaje - que he elegido para ser un diseñador de moda.

APPARENTLY YOU GOT THE MUSIC BUG FROM THE AGE OF 6 – WOULD THAT BE BECAUSE YOU WERE RAISED IN A FAMILY OF MUSICIANS? …PLEASE TELL US MORE! I definitely got the music bug from my family. My uncle would always play the piano and the trumpet and my aunts would always sing. As a child I was encouraged to play instruments and to learn the art of dance so my parents enrolled me in piano and dance school..

At home all of my cousins would sing and dance together especially during special occasions which quickly turned into a full fledge recital. Music was always a part of my life one way or another.

YOU ARE A SINGER/SONGWRITER WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION FOR YOUR SONGS? My inspiration comes from many places. A lot of the material that I write is based on experiences that I’ve gone through while some are situations that those around me have gone through. In essence, I just pull my inspirations from LIFE - the good the bad and everything in between. It’s really important to me to be able to relate to the words and the content of a song.

I have to “feel” it so that it’s translated to the listeners.

I SEE THAT YOU FOUND AN INDEPENDENT LABEL TO REPRESENT YOU – HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? The great thing about this situation is that I didn’t find an Independent label. I actually created the label, Killer Instincts Music, with a partner. After meeting with him we just clicked.

We had an unexplainable vibe from our first session together. From there we kept making beautiful music and decided that we had what it takes to run our own label.

WHEN DID YOUR FIRST SINGLE COME OUT? “742 (Ms. Sorel I Love U)” came out in late 2009.

ALTHOUGH YOUR SINGLE IS AVAILABLE ON ITUNES & AMAZON – WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR FURTHER PROMOTION? Well now that the album is released and available, I am mainly focusing on putting together show dates, doing as many radio and magazine interviews that I can as well as finishing up videos to further push the single and album.

WHO ARE YOUR SINGING IDOLS/ROLE MODELS? Patti Labelle, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Celine Dione, Mariah Carey WHAT KIND OF MUSIC ARE YOU INTO PERSONALLY? I really enjoy different types of music. My first love would definitely be Hip-Hop and R&B but I also listen to other genres of music. I listen to some Alternative, Pop, Rock, Dancehall, Haitian Kompa and Zouk.

I haven’t quite got around to Classical, Blue Grass, and a few other genre of music, but truthfully anything that moves me gets a chance in my CD player.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF? (romantic, practical etc) I’d like to think that I’m a laid back person who loves to laugh and have fun. I’m a romantic who is carefree, affectionate, loving and I always want to see everyone happy. I’m a strong woman and I pride myself on my independence and accomplishments. When I set my mind on something I’m set. I guess they call that being stubborn but I strive to reach my goals and won’t stop until I reach the finish line a winner.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE A CHANCE ON ACHIEVING/PURSUIING YOUR DREAM? I was just determined. I knew since I was young that I would be a singer. While growing up, I made my small steps towards that. I made sure I was always around music whether it’d be me playing the piano, violin, drums etc. or just me being part of groups where I had the opportunity to sing. I’d join my church choir, school chorus or participate in musicals whether I played a lead role or minor one. As long as I was able to perform I was happy. I used that experience to drive and push me harder toward reaching my goals.

I LISTENED TO MOST OF YOUR TRACKS AND I NOTICE THAT ALTHOUGH YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A HIPHOP, SOUL, R&B SINGER – YOUR TRACKS 742(Ms Sorel I Love You & Open Your Eyes) are deeply romantic tracks and very soulful…..IS THERE A STORY BEHIND THEM AND DO YOU INTENT TO BLOW OUR MINDS WITH A HIPHOP TRACK ONE DAY There isn’t really a “story” behind any of the music other than the events that inspired them.

The music that I create comes from a vibe that happens between my producer and I. Somehow once we start working in the studio, magic happens and we create great songs.

Period. That is the truth and the only explanation. And of course with my love of Hip-Hop and R&B I definitely have the mind blowing Hip-Hop track on its way.

DO YOU HAVE ANY GIGS OR CLUBS YOU WILL BE SINGING AT? WHAT IS YOUR FIVE YEAR PLAN? Right now we are in the process of putting together a small tour with the intentions to

expand it across most of the U.S. within the next year. As far as the future goes we intend to expand the performances internationally, gain major radio airplay and release at least 2 more albums, which as we speak are being pre-produced in the studio.

CHOOSE FOR FOR THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL GIG? Are you kidding? London of course! Because of the crazy urban music scene over there.

What better place to get my feet wet internationally?

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER AMBITIONS OR DETERMINATIONS TO ACHIEVE APART FROM THE SUCCESS OF YOUR MUSIC? Definitely but right now I am totally focused on promotion and performances. But, at some point I would really love to expand into different areas of entertainment as well as the business side of entertainment. I have always had a love for theatre as well as acting so when the opportunity presents itself it’s something I would go after.

CAN YOU SHARE SOME DETAILS ON YOUR JOURNEY TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW AND WHAT IT TOOK? (This is for other young artists who may want to follow in your footsteps) Wow! Getting to where I am now took a lot of time, determination, resilience, adjusting and perseverance. I didn’t really pursue singing professionally until after graduating from Howard University. I wanted to get my degree first because it was really important to me to have that accomplishment under my belt. After receiving my diploma, I hit the ground running and started taking vocal lessons and writing more songs. Soon I realized the amount of time it took to create music. I had to really adjust my whole life because hanging out and going to every social event was no longer an option. I had to spend most of my time perfecting my craft, and that takes some getting used to. This journey is ongoing and I still have many steps to take. It’s really important to believe in yourself and to never doubt yourself.

Everyone won’t have kind words to say to you but you have to be resilient and keep pushing until you make it. You can’t please everyone but if you want to live your dreams and do what you love, work hard and make it happen.

WHAT IS THE MOTIVATOR FOR YOUR SINGING? IS IT FAME? MONEY? OR JUST SOMETHING INSIDE? It’s just something inside me. I didn’t necessarily say I want to be “famous”, but I’ve always wanted to be heard. Being able to use your voice as an instrument is a gift that I feel needs to be shared. I know the feeling that you get when you’ve been touched by someone’s emotions and voice. It’s an unexplainable thing when a singer or song is able to tap into your soul. I guess the fact that I’ve been blessed with such a gift is a motivator in itself.

HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED COMING ABROAD – TO MAKE YOUR PRESENCE KNOWN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC? Of course! Going overseas is something that we definitely are going to do. The urban music scene abroad is huge and I can’t wait to share the Stephanie Sorel experience with the rest of the world. I definitely plan to travel in the near future.

WHICH COUNTRY WOULD YOU

WHAT ADVICE OR WORDS OF WISDOM WOULD YOU GIVE ANYONE WANTING TO DO WHAT YOU DO? The best advice I can give is to make sure this is what you really want to do and be sure you are willing to make the necessary sacrifices needed to achieve your goal. Remember it’s not going to be easy and the dynamic of your life will change but if this is really what you want it will all be worth it.

J'ai vraiment eu la piqûre de musique de ma famille. Mon oncle jouait toujours du piano et la trompette et mes tantes ne chantaient toujours. Quand J’étais jeune - j'ai été encouragé à jouer des instruments et à apprendre l'art de la danse – au point ou ce que mes parents m'ont inscrit au piano et l'école de danse. A la maison, tous mes cousins chantaient et dansaient ensemble, particulièrement lors d'occasions spéciales, qui se sont rapidement transformée en une considération intégrale. La musique a toujours fait partie de ma vie d'une façon ou d'une autre.

VOUS ETES CHANTEUSE / OMPOSITEUR - QU'ELLE EST L'INSPIRATION POUR VOS CHANSONS? Mon inspiration vient de plusieurs endroits. Une grande partie du matériel que je vous écris est basée sur les expériences que j'ai vécues alors que certains sont des situations que ceux autour de moi ont vécues. En substance, je viens de tirer mon inspiration de la vie - le bon et le mauvais et tout le reste. Il est vraiment important pour moi d'être en mesure de relier les mots et le contenu d'une chanson. J'ai de "sentir" afin qu'il se soit traduit pour les auditeurs.

JE VOIS QUE VOUS AVEZ TROUVEZ UN LABEL INDEPENDANT POUR VOUS REPRESENTER - COMMENT EST-CE ARRIVE? La grande chose au sujet de cette situation, c'est que je n'ai pas trouvé un label indépendant. J'ai effectivement créé l'étiquette, Instincts Killer Music, avec un partenaire. Après une rencontre avec lui, nous avons connectes. Nous avons eu

une ambiance inexplicable de notre première session ensemble. De là, nous avons continué à faire de la musique belle et décidé que nous avions ce qu'il faut pour mener notre propre label.
