DAYS 1-3 - CAPE TOWN

DAYS 4-5 - CAPE WINELANDS

After three days exploring Cape Town, travel east by private car to Franschhoek amid the mountains and vineyards of the scenic Cape Winelands. Check in for two nights at La Residence, a regular fixture in roundups of the world’s top hotels. Enjoy sampling the estate’s wines and be sure to book a tour of the vineyards and orchards.

DAYS 6-7 - HERMANUS

Drop south to arguably the most exclusive hotel in Hermanus, Birkenhead House, perched on the cliffs above Walker Bay. Come between June and

Royal Malewane. This intimate safari lodge provides a front-row seat to the African wilderness. Service is polished but unstuffy, the safari guides are among the most experienced in Africa, and elephants come to drink from the waterhole out front. Take a light aircraft flight to Johannesburg on day 11 to connect with your flight home.

Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to the iconic Silo Hotel. Set right on the V&A Waterfront, The Silo sits atop the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and has been built into the frame of a colossal former grain silo. Highlights include a glass-sided rooftop infinity pool and breathtaking views of the waterfront, Robben Island and Table Mountain.
