Jonathan Pinkett

Pinkett was born in 1949 in Philadelphia. He studied filmmaking at the Philadelphia College of Art and drawing and painting at the Grand Central Atelier in New York. His mentors include Colleen Barry and Jacob Collins. His work represents an effort to deconstruct the diverse world around him. He uses a variety of materials and processes in each project that relate to specific themes or personalities. As he absorbs and redirects the energy of his subjects, the portraits he paints are, in essence, self-portraits. As an artist, he seeks to immerse himself in the conditions around him, not escape them. His influences are Colleen Barry, Jacob Collins, Romare Bearden, Charles White, and John Singer Sargent. His works are included in public, private, and corporate collections.

Courtney Paige Alnutt
Courtney Alnutt grew up on a small farm in rural Pennsylvania and has always lived among nature and many different animals, even wildlife in her house that was cared for by her to-be vet sister. The choices she makes in the subject matter of her work echoes this background.
Her work reveals personal insight into her life and reflects self exploration. Her work also documents her own personal academic journey. The techniques used in her work are those traditionally employed for representational art and produced with oil paints on fine linen panels.

She received an associate’s degree in culinary arts in 2014 and worked as a wedding cake artist for three years. After soul searching, she decided to pursue art full time and in 2017 went on to study fine art at Paris College of Art in Paris, France. In 2019 she transferred to Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA and graduated in 2021 with Summa Cum Laude honors and a bachelor’s degree in drawing and painting. Courtney was selected to show a painting in the studentjuried exhibition at LCAD Gallery In Laguna Beach, CA in December of 2019 and participated in a senior show in 2021 at the same gallery.

Kathleen Vaccaro
I am an artist who makes paintings, prints, and drawings in Philadelphia, PA and Brooklyn, NY. My MFA is from Pratt Institute and my BA in Art Education is from Saint Joseph’s University. I love discovering what materials can do and strive to be a painter’s painter. My work currently explores characters and relationships in film noir. The figure has always interested me. I teach art for Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, and Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA. I have written for The Artblog, and have taught art for K-12 schools as well as the Abington Art Center. Teaching art is fulfilling and fun. It inspires me to keep pushing myself as an artist and is a way for me to keep learning. I actively make and exhibit my artwork. Making art lets me be adventurous.
