INEF Silent Auction Dear IGE Attendee, This year’s donations from exhibitors help fund the Indiana Nursery Scholarship Fund (INEF). INEF annually offers a scholarship to be awarded to a full-time student enrolling at Purdue University or Vincennes University in landscape horticulture. The scholarship recipient will receive 50% installment at the beginning of their first semester. The final 50% installment will be awarded to the recipient at the beginning of their third semester provided they are still enrolled in landscape horticulture at Purdue University or Vincennes University and have achieved a “C” grade average. The 2017 Indiana Nursery Endowment Fund aka Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association Scholarships has awarded 2 - $4,000. Scholarships for 2017. The following recipients Sara Burger from Indianapolis and Cody Cornell from Lafayette excelled in their academics at their respective schools and the INEF Board felt each were more than deserving to receive these scholarships. Each recipient will receive $2,000 each for their upcoming (2017-2018) freshmen year and as long as they retain a “C” or better GPA they will receive an additional $2000 for their (2018-2019) sophomore year, upon submitting the appropriate documentation of their GPA and horticulture major. Both recipients are enrolled at Purdue University for the upcoming fall semester with each seeking a degree in the horticultural field. Again, many exhibitors will donate an item or their booth contents to the INEF silent auction in an effort to generate proceeds for the scholarship fund. Auction bid tickets will be available on Tuesday at the INEF booth #102 on the trade show floor. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause! Sincerely,

Trade Show

Indiana Nursery & Landscape Association

Membership Challenge To All INLA Members: The INLA membership committee is asking each member to bring one new member into the association during the challenge period of January 1 – May 1, 2017. Just one new member. All of us knows at least one landscape or nursery company that isn’t currently a member. In growing our membership we strengthen not only our association, but perhaps more importantly, our green industry.

Just one new member. Membership Challenge Prize! The company that brings in the most new members will win a year’s paid dues for the INLA. In case of a tie, we will draw the winner. The winner will be announced May 5, 2017.
