You expect reliable energy, which is why Inland Power is committed to protecting the integrity of our electrical system. Trees and branches that encroach on or fall onto power lines can lead to outages, fires, and serious accidents. Additionally, tree roots can harm underground lines. Both scenarios pose risks to people and property and can disrupt essential community services. Our vegetation management program is designed to minimize tree-related power outages. Inland adopts a systematic approach to proactively patrol, trim, and remove trees to reduce fire hazards and ensure reliability: • Regularly trim trees on a scheduled basis • Remove hazardous or dead trees near right-of-ways

• When necessary, Inland Power will mow right-of-ways to keep areas free of excessive vegetation and trees Inland Power is dedicated to collaborating with property owners throughout the trimming and removal process. As a complimentary service, we will disconnect the service wire (the line connecting the transformer to the meter) if you decide to remove a tree near that wire. All green limbs will be chipped. Dead limbs will be removed from the site. Wood will be left on-site in piles for your use. For information about the wood left on-site, you can utilize resources like 211 or the Nextdoor app. If you would like, logs can be cut to firewood lengths upon request, either made in person during the on-site work or by contacting our office to add a note to your account. Additionally, we provide complimentary wood chips; please visit getchipdrop.com for more information. continued on page 3
