Kevala Rungopal CHAIRPERSON
Role: Society leader who liases between university leaders and society members. Chairperson guides committee members in their portfolio, delegates tasks and creates yearly plans for the society.
Favourite genres: Psychological thriller & Transnationalism.

Role: Second-in-charge who facilitates the Chairperson run the society, plan events and communicate with members. The role of the Social Media Rep is to generate content to post on platforms like Instagram and Facebook in order to gain more followers and members for the society.
Favourite genre: Short stories.

Dylan Aiston SECRETARY
Role: Head of administration. The Secretary facilitates communication between the society members and the committee. Taking minutes, sending e-mails and the general organisation of the society are the Secretary’s main aims.

Favourite book: The Knife of Never Letting Go / The Starless Sea.

Role: Head of Finance. The Treasurer ensures that the society’s finances are managed well and organises money for events and administrative needs.

Role: Liason between the society and the greater Makhanda community. Ink Society aims to extend the magic of creative writing to others through literacy outreach programmes.
Favourite author: Ian McEwan.
