the inkerman ocean project
Our new recycled glassware range make the perfect gifts for eco-warriors. Covering over 70% of the Earth’s surface, the ocean is the largest existing eco-system on the planet and is a source of livelihood for most of our population. Unfortunately, our oceans are under severe threat from human activities; pollution, overfishing and coastal habitat destruction are just some of the strains we subject our seas to. To celebrate our 25th year in business we have launched a new recycled glassware range, the Inkerman Ocean Project. Inspired by the ocean, this collection celebrates diverse sea life and habitats with new designs etched on hand-crafted recycled glass products.

The collection forms part of our charity collaborations with a percentage of sales going directly to an ocean conservation charity. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to marine life and as a retail business we are aware that we should be making changes. Plastic products can take anywhere from 50 - 200 years to decompose, so the collection has a big focus on using materials that are friendlier to our planet.
