Pendulum
from Ink Issue 2

I checked the medicine cabinet But all the bandages were too small And I couldn’t find where the wound was I could only sense the blood When you banged against the wall

A metallic taste That invaded our home When the world was a million miles Of cancellations And monochrome
An elephant in the room That dined right next to you Reminded you of memories You tried to undo
Orange juice Spanking Black and blue Shattered plates Locked doors Not enough food
Pendulum
I hold you tight Until the world stops spinning Until you’re mine again And we’re both grinning
Everything’s fine Scents of peaches and roses Masking the problem Under our noses
Everything’s fine Until you swing back again Into the dark place Where I lose you
