WHAT’S ON AT READY2RACE

CEO - Bloodstock Sales
Welcome to the 2025 Inglis Ready2Race Sale and all that is happening around it.
When it comes to Australian breeze up sales, there is no peer to the Inglis Ready2Race Sale in terms of graduate success, both domestically and internationally.
This year’s catalogue of 222 lots – to be offered at Riverside on Thursday - is hands down the best 2YO catalogue this country has ever seen.
It features incredible sire power with juveniles by the likes of I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Snitzel, Too Darn Hot, Wootton Bassett, Written Tycoon, Toronado, Per Incanto, Super Seth, Ole Kirk, Harry Angel, Written By, Shamus Award, The Autumn Sun, Dundeel, Exceed and Excel, Capitalist, Alabama Express, Castelvecchio, Lord Kanaloa, Bivouac, Farnan, Proisir, Brutal, Cool Aza Beel, Hellbent, Ghaiyyath, Lucky Vega, Satono Aladdin, Rich Enuff, Rubick etc as well as first season sires such as Aclaim, Acrobat, Captivant, Extreme Warrior, Home Affairs, Noverre, Palace Pier, Pinatubo, Portland Sky, Profiteer, St Mark’s Basilica, Stay Inside, Tiger of Malay, Wild Ruler etc.
Of the top 20 active Australasian stallions in Hong Kong last season, 17 have offspring in this year’s Inglis Ready2Race Sale.
To be frank, the Inglis Ready2Race Sale is easily the best and most progressive 2YO Sale in the country.
It has provided almost 800 individual winning graduates since 2016 at an average earning-per-runner of $111,069, some 35% higher than its nearest rival.
Last year’s sale-topper Signature Scent won her first two starts by a combined 5.3L, the second-top lot Rosberg won at Listed level on debut just last month while other recent domestic stars include three-time Group winner Libertad, G2-winning millionaire Democracy Manifest, another millionaire in Strait Acer, dual G1 winner Nettoyer as well as a plethora of other high-class performers like Forgot You, Lightsaber, Prix de Turn, Trumbull, Sonofkirk, Raikkonen etc. Internationally the sale has been hugely successful also, with graduates winning regularly in Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, Philippines, Singapore and Macau. Graduates include last season’s Hong Kong Classic Cup winner and G1 placed Rubylot, Hong Kong G2 winner Wishful Thinker as well as Singapore stars like Golden Monkey, Starlight and Relentless to name a few.
This year’s sale is surrounded by a series of events both pre and post auction to set up a memorable week both in and out of the sales ring.
On Wednesday will be the traditional Welcome Drinks at Riverside followed by an Everest Preview panel featuring Channel 7 star Emma Freedman and guests including trainer Bjorn Baker, jockey Tommy Berry, form expert Simon Dinopoulos and Inglis’ Mitchell Bates.
On Friday many in the industry will head to the Royal Oak in Double Bay for the annual Everest Calcutta while on Saturday, Randwick hosts the world’s richest race on turf, the $20m The Everest.
This booklet outlines all the best Riverside Stables has to offer and the exciting events in Sydney this week.
