WHAT’S ON AT EASTER

CEO - Bloodstock Sales
Welcome to the 2026 Easter Yearling Sale.
There is always a tremendous buzz around Sydney at the time of the Easter Sale, the autumn racing carnival is in full swing and this year, daylight saving is still upon us so the longer, warmer days make for enjoyable times.
While the two-day sale will be both frenetic and fantastic, there are many other events and activities around the auction that will help create a world-class spectacle at Riverside.
This What’s On booklet aims to provide you with a full array of information of things to do and events and activities to be a part of in the lead-up to and during the Easter Sale.
Horses begin parading at Riverside on Monday March 23 and the annual Welcome Drinks will take place from 4.30pm on Thursday March 26.
The Messina ice cream stand is back, significant media will be doing live broadcasts on-site at Riverside, plus our own Sale Day Live broadcast will again be front and centre, hosted by Emma Freedman and Katelyn McDonald.
There will be the usual range of hospitality options available at Riverside through Ringside Dining, the outdoor Inglis Cafe, Heroic Café, Newmarket Room Restaurant, 1867 Lounge, Inglis Day Spa and many others.
The sale itself will no doubt create great theatre across the two days.
In a stunning collection of some of the world’s most desirable bloodlines, the Easter catalogue features 81 lots that are the progeny of or siblings to G1 winners and 259 which are the progeny of or siblings to Stakes winners.
Easter has produced 41 G1-winning graduates since 2018 and make no mistake, there is tremendous value to be found at the sale.
Over the past two renewals, there were 239 yearlings offered at Easter that could have been bought for $200,000 or less: the likes of $75,000 purchase Overpass - a multiple G1 winner of over $12m - and $150,000 purchase Femminile, a G1 winner and $1.5m mare, both perfect examples of the value that can be found at the sale.
I look forward to seeing you all at Riverside for what will be a special week and if you have any questions in the lead-up to or during the sale, please do not hesitate to contact myself or a member of the Inglis team.
Regards
Sebastian
