INGAGE recently submitted a proposal to Nouns GG on January 20th for the INGAGE EUIC (Europe International Championship) BootCamp in London. The event is set to take place on February 20th at GiantX Headquarters and will host some of the best teams from Europe, North America & OCE.
The boot camp will not only focus on competitive play but will also include a community space where attendees can gather and connect with the Pokémon Unite community. This session will feature INGAGE casters and provide an opportunity for university students to participate. There will be photo shoots and content recording sessions for INGAGE’s media coverage.

One of the most interesting aspects of this bootcamp is INGAGE’s sponsorship by Nouns GG. INGAGE submitted their proposal on January 20th, and the community voting process lasted for a week. On February 1st, the results were announced, with INGAGE securing third place and receiving $750 USDC in funding for the event.
All these three Proposals at the end came very close in voting. INGAGE lost the 2nd Position just by 9 votes to a Melee Tournament. The first proposal was also a Smash Melee Tournament which was way ahead but we were able to close that large gap.
Nouns GG also known as Nouns Esports has been actively supporting the esports community by hosting various events over the past year. Their sponsorship model is unique in that they fund events and players through community voting, something rarely seen in the industry. They have supported esports for games like Dota 2, Smash Bros, Counter-Strike, and more. Their contributions to the Web3 esports space have been significant, helping to bring esports on-chain and increase awareness about crypto integration in the gaming industry.

The competitive Pokémon Unite universe is ever-changing, with teams forming and reorganising in the blink of an eye. One French squad, Gen 5, stands out not just for its brilliance, but also for the strong connections of friendship that its members share. Purple, a prominent French streamer and caster, founded Gen 5, which has swiftly created a reputation for itself, hoping to dominate Europe and, eventually, the World Championships. We spoke with Purple to discover more about the team's roots, distinct chemistry, and lofty aspirations.
Purple, thank you for taking the time to talk to us about Gen 5. What motivated you to form this team?
"I followed those players since the beginning of the game, I created Gen 5 for them. I wanted to create an e-sport team but a team that I was convinced had the potential to perform."
Gen 5 was founded just before the commencement of the UCS. How have they performed thus far?
"Created before the start of the UCS, Gen 5 has performed with two TOP 2 at the beginning of the season."
Written by @TheBossYash
What has been the reaction from the community to Gen 5?
"When the team has been announced, all the french and EU community were behind Gen 5, I was casting matches with huge energy and it helps me to see supporter in my twitch chat. I'm convinced that's a strength for players.
Many esports teams are built around strong individual players. What makes Gen 5 different?
"We see lot of teams reformed with strong players but it's sometimes difficult for the players to have affinity between each other, the particularity of Gen 5 is they're all friends.
Written by @TheBossYash
How important is that friendship to their performance?
"Our strength is the communication between players, they're friends before team mates. Some of them already participate to Worlds Championships and are determined to participate once again.
Gen 5's tale is a powerful illustration of how friendship and shared enthusiasm can drive competitive success. Gen 5 is ready to make a huge impression on the Pokémon Unite landscape, thanks to a friendly community, a strong sense of brotherhood, and a lot of individual ability. Their path to rule Europe and the world is only just beginning, and it promises to be exciting and inspiring for fans all around the world.

As the highly anticipated European International Championships (EUIC) approach, we sat down with Yûtao, the jungler for Gen 5, to discuss the team's journey, expectations, and the impact of international competition on the Pokémon Unite scene.
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself and the creation of Gen 5.
Yûtao: Hello everyone! I'm Yûtao, and I play as the jungler for Gen 5. I installed Pokémon Unite the moment it was released and was instantly captivated by its gameplay. Competitive gaming has always given me an adrenaline rush, and I knew early on that I wanted to compete seriously.
Gen 5 was initially formed as a group of close friends who shared a passion for the game and wanted to compete together. We've always tried to maintain that camaraderie while also striving for excellence. Our team truly took shape when Purple, a well-known French player, proposed the idea of officially establishing Gen 5, and we embraced the opportunity.
Written by @Ketchum09S
Q: Who will be representing Gen 5 at the EUIC?
Yûtao: Our roster for the event consists of Megu, Lunder, Sareyu, myself (Yûtao), Sazuro, and Purple, who will be our substitute. Each of them is incredibly skilled, and I have full confidence in our team's ability to perform at the highest level.
Q: How is the team feeling about the upcoming EUIC?
Yûtao: We are all very excited to reunite and compete on such a stage. Our goal is simple: to enjoy the experience while giving our absolute best and, of course, to win it all.
Q: Which teams do you think will make it to the Top 8 at EUIC?
Yûtao: That’s a difficult question, but I believe that the strongest teams in Europe will be in the mix. However, I’m unsure which international teams will attend. As for Gen 5, we have a strong chance of making it to the Top 8 as well.
Q: China has been invited to the EUIC for the first time. What are your thoughts on this historic moment?
Yûtao: I think it’s fantastic! As a Chinese player myself, it makes me incredibly proud to see my country represented at such a prestigious event. This will undoubtedly bring a larger audience to the game and add a new dynamic to the competition. I expect China to have a significant impact on the tournament.
Q: Since the Chinese version of Pokémon Unite differs from other regions, how do you think Chinese teams will perform at EUIC?
Yûtao: I anticipate that they will introduce unconventional strategies that no one expects. Each region has its own unique approach to the game, and I am eager to see how China’s strategies compare to those of other regions. Their perspective on the game could bring a refreshing change to the meta.
Q: Any last words before the EUIC?
Yûtao: I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supports us. It’s an honor to compete in such a major event, and I look forward to potentially playing on the grand stage once again. Thank you all, and take care!
The Asia Champions League (ACL) 2025, one of the most prestigious esports tournaments in the region, kicked off on November 16, 2025. This highly anticipated event brings together the best talent from India, Southeast Asia (SEA), and Japan, showcasing high-level competition in the ever-growing Pokémon UNITE scene. For the first time in its history, Pokémon UNITE has introduced an invitational, franchised league structure with distinct formats for each region.
The SEA League featured a total of 10 teams battling through a group stage. The top eight teams from this stage advanced to a double-elimination bracket, where the four best teams emerged to qualify for the ACL 2025 Finals in Japan. The teams that secured their spots are:
● Miraen Sejong (a.k.a. Xora Tigers Gaming)
● Alter Ego (Shinn & Ryouday)
● Paper Rex (Team MYS)
● Buriram United Esports
The India League adopted a unique two-stage format. The first stage spanned seven days, with a single-elimination bracket determining daily matchups. Teams accumulated points based on their placements. The second stage introduced a King of the Hill format, an unprecedented twist in Pokémon UNITE esports. One team, Godlike Esports, stunned everyone by defeating all seven of its rivals consecutively, securing its spot in the ACL Finals.

The Japan League followed a format similar to the India League’s first stage, running a single-elimination bracket for seven days to determine points standings. However, the second stage introduced a double-elimination bracket, with an innovative twist: teams were seeded based on their group stage performance, giving an advantage to higher-placed squads. This groundbreaking format adds a strategic depth never seen before in the Pokémon UNITE community. The Japan League Finals will be held on February 22 at a LAN event, where the top four teams will qualify for the ACL 2025 Finals.
For teams that were not invited directly to ACL 2025, the Winter Tournament provided another pathway to qualification. Each of the three regions—India, SEA, and Japan—hosted its own Winter Tournament, offering a last-chance opportunity to compete on the grand stage.
An incredible 209 teams signed up for Japan’s Winter Tournament, an unprecedented number that showcased the region’s growing enthusiasm for Pokémon UNITE. The tournament followed a single-elimination format played over two days. In the end, Kakigoya Gaming emerged victorious and secured their place at ACL 2025 Finals.
India’s Winter Tournament followed a three-stage structure:
1. Single-Elimination Bracket
2. Group Stage (where teams battled in groups for seeding)
3. Double-Elimination Bracket to determine the final winner Revenant X Spark Esports claimed victory and earned their ticket to the ACL 2025 Finals.
Divided into two sub-regions—Asia Pacific West and Asia Pacific East—this tournament had its first phase (Asia Pacific West) on February 1-2. It started with a single-elimination bracket and concluded with a double-elimination round. ONIC Rise emerged as the winner, securing their ACL Finals spot.
The Asia Pacific East Winter Tournament is set to take place on February 8-9, with results yet to be determined.
The Asia Champions League Finals will be held as a LAN event on March 29-30 in Shinjuku, Japan. For the first time. The tournament will feature two additional teams from China and the LAIC champion, Luminosity Gaming, joining the already stacked lineup.
All teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, and the champion of ACL 2025 will secure a direct invitation to the Pokémon UNITE World Championship in Anaheim, California, in August 2025.
Metallic from Nemesis is heading back to London for another AEOS Cup with a renewed sense of confidence and a drive to improve upon last year's fourth-place finish. "I feel pretty confident," Metallic stated. "I think our team can do pretty well. I believe we could do even better than last year." He acknowledged a more cautious approach in his previous appearance at EUIC, often relying on TrainerLGC to make the plays. This year, however, with TrainerLGC no longer on the roster, Metallic is ready to step up. "This year it's different," he explained. "He isn't on our roster anymore, so now I feel I should take that role."
Metallic feels he's grown significantly as a player since last season. "I feel I've grown in many ways since last year," he said. "I came mid-season last year, so it's not like I had as much experience as others. Now it's different. I have more experience, and I think things like mechanics, game sense, and everything like that have leveled up quite a bit."

Unite Esports has expanded its reach, with new teams in Asia and LATAM making waves. Metallic recognizes the stiff competition they present. "Honestly, a team that I think will be hard to beat is most of the Asian teams," he admitted. "From what I've seen, all the top teams are really good. From LATAM, we have teams like Fusion, who are always going to be tough, but you can't sleep on teams from this region either. There's guys like OJ and the main team everyone seems to be looking at, LG, who is playing in the ACL.”
The addition of VinDieselTTV to the roster has brought a new dynamic to the team. "I think adding someone like Vin is really great for our team," Metallic commented. "He's a hard grinder, smart player, and his mechanics are insanely good. I'm excited to see him get better over time throughout the season and especially LAN events. I have high hopes for him, and I think he will perform extremely well."
Written by @TheBossYash
Finally, Metallic shared his thoughts on the Chinese teams entering the esports scene. "For the Chinese teams, I think it will be a hit or miss," he predicted. "I think either they will be insanely good and a threat throughout the season, or they will not be the best since it's their first year and struggle. I could see it go either way, and I'm super excited to play against them."
