Portrait Hello Jérémy, could you tell us more about your estate and its special characteristics?

Domaine Corsin is a family estate founded in 1864 at the heart of the Pouilly vineyards. At its beginnings, our property only covered 2 hectares. This area has expanded over the course of the generations. Today we cultivate 13.6 hectares of vines planted on east, south-east, and north-west facing slopes, at an altitude of 180 to 280 meters.

For more than a century, we have been producing white wines full of character, wines of passion appreciated by amateurs and connoisseurs alike!

We cultivate 45 parcels, broken down as follows: • • •

8.5 hectares of Saint-Véran 3.5 hectares of Pouilly-Fuissé, with 1.2 hectares in 1er Cru 1.5 hectares of Mâcon-Villages

Today, we offer 6 different cuvées. The sixth cuvée, our "Pouilly-Fuissé Exception" is sourced from our best parcels and reserved for particularly promising vintages. We are committed to offering wines characterized by their finesse, structure, and richness of aroma.

95% of our production is bottled, which, depending on the year, represents between 80,000 and 100,000 bottles. Half of our production is sold on the French market with the other half slated for export. We sell our wines to wine merchants and restaurants as well as to individual buyers, directly at our tasting cellar in Davayé, or by shipment throughout mainland France.

We vinify our wines by parcel or by sector, then we proceed to the blending.

Could you tell us some more about yourself and your work as a winemaker?

I am the 6th generation of winemakers in my family! As I mentioned earlier, we are a family estate, so I was born into the world of wine!

However, before I moved to the estate in 2019, I undertook studies in totally different subjects. I worked in motorsports in Paris for 4 years. Then I went back to college for a year for to specialize in anticipation of taking over the estate in January 2019, as my father was about to retire. Indeed, before I arrived, the estate was run by my father, Jean-Jacques, with my uncle, Gilles. Even though both are retired today, they are still a source of support.

You recently adopted EASYPEEL : Why did you choose this innovative capsule for your wine?

We ordered EASYPEEL for the first time in 2021.

Before that, we were already using CAPGARD, your embossed aluminum capsule. Both were chosen for their esthetic appeal and their sustainable properties.

We decided to switch to EASYPEEL primarily for our customers working in the hospitality field, who have to open many bottles every day.

EASYPEEL reduces the risk of cuts, which can happen with embossed aluminum. Our individual customers also appreciate having a neat and clean opening, just as much as they appreciate not cutting themselves anymore!

What has been the initial feedback you’ve received?

Thus far, we’ve only had positive feedback! It is true that traditional sommeliers will prefer to open below the bottle neck, but consumers and wine merchants are all delighted. Besides, it should be noted that those professionals who still prefer to open the capsule from below can still do so...

Since we receive our individual customers directly at the estate in our tasting cellar, we are able observe their reactions in real time! And up until now, these have been unanimously favorable!
