How it works/Ultrasound hearing

The TICKLESS device emits a series of ultrasonic pulses that are imperceptible to humans, pets or wildlife, but interfere with the ability of ticks and fleas to orient themselves. Environmentally friendly, contains no chemicals or fragrances, making it perfectly safe to use for everyone.

Ultrasonic wave is an acoustic (sound) energy in the form of waves having a frequency range above that of human hearing range.

The sounds humans can perceive have a frequency ranging from 20–20,000 hertz (Hz). While pets can hear ultrasound frequencies, 40 kHz is already over their hearing range.

Basics/About ticks and fleas Ticks are external parasites living by sucking on the blood of mammals, birds, and sometimes reptiles.

By consuming on the blood they can get larger and grow to a size to where you can see them better. Once they’ve gotten big enough they eventually move on to another host. Ticks can carry a number of diseases, most importantly Lyme disease and encephalitis.

Of the many different tick species found throughout the world, only a select few bite and transmit disease to humans. Ticks climb to the ends OF LEAVES OR BRANCHES AND ATTACH TO HOSTS THAT BRUSH AGAINST THEM. THEY CAN BE FOUND IN MANY AREAS. WOODS, BUSHES, GRASS, UNDER LEAVES OR around woodpiles and walls where mice and other small mammals live.

In case of a tick bite, remove it as soon as possible - the sooner the better. Do this without pushing the tick’s torso. If the tick is feeding for less than 24 hours, the likelihood of being infected with the bacteria Borrelia (which is the predominant causative agent of Lyme disease) is significantly reduced.

Fleas are tiny, bloodthirsty parasites. Extremely fast-growing animals that can trigger a strong allergic reaction, which is called flea allergy.

There are many different variations of fleas. Dog and feline fleas can actually bite humans too, spreading various infectious diseases. These stinging tend to be those itchy red dots around the ankles and legs of humans, while pets give a serious scratch to the potential presence of unwanted parasites. Adult fleas feed on blood. The larvae live in the nest of the host animal, feeding on dust and organic debris. Getting rid of them can be an extremely difficult and lengthy process since fleas and their larvae can live for weeks without feeding. Using TICKLESS Pet reduces the chances of the pet bring these parasites back home.

But the best solution is always prevention: use TICKLESS to prevent ticks and fleas from biting you - or your loved ones.

TICKLESS features TICKLESS was tested in 2012 by the Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Laboratory, University of Camerino (ranked best Italian university by Guida Censis Repubblica 2011 and 2012).

The results clearly showed that the test dogs, which already had a tick / flea, TICKLESS prevented any worsening of the infestation and in some cases reduced the infestations.

They also showed that in dogs that were not infested prior to the start of the study, TICKLESS prevented any infestation.
