When people get permethrin on their skin, they may have irritation or tingling, burning and itching at that spot. If permethrin gets in the eyes it can cause redness, pain or burning. If people eat permethrin it could cause sore throat, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. People that have breathed in permethrin have had irritation in the nose and lungs, difficulty breathing, headaches, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. (6) Less than 1% of the permethrin put on the skin of people was taken into the body. If permethrin is eaten, most of it is quickly absorbed. The pyrethroids easily pass through the lungs into the body if inhaled, but no specific data on permethrin was found.

Elimination from the body

Ultrasonic tick repeller - Tickless technology

Once permethrin is absorbed, it quickly moves throughout the body. The greatest amounts of permethrin have been found 3 to 4 hours after it was eaten. Permethrin leaves the body mainly in the urine, but may also be in the feces. In laboratory tests in rats, half of the permethrin was gone from the animals' bodies within a day. (6)

Safe to use for babies, elderly, ill or pregnant people. Well over 1 million pets were protected as well as millions of humans against zoonotic diseases that carried out by ticks, fleas and mites. Dust mite and FAD (Flea Allergic Dermatitis) elimination contributed to healthier life for allergic human.

Efficacy

100% effective in providing personal protection against adults of the Pacific Coast tick (9)

"94-97%" (10)

Duration of efficacy

Permethrin-treated clothes were effective against insects for 2 weeks to 6 months (5–20 detergent washings) (4)

Tickless Human: 3000 hours (switchable), Tickless Active: years (rechargeable)

Human exposure to large doses of permethrin may cause genotoxicity and immunotoxicity in humans and farm animals. However, it is classified by the EPA as a likely human carcinogen, based on a mouse reproduction test. (4)

Toxicity

The most common symptoms appear to be nausea and vomiting. Neurotoxicity appears to be most clinically significant. Permethrin toxicity may mimic organophosphate poisoning because of its cholinergic actions. (5)

Environment friendly, no harm to animals, reusable and recyclable

870.6300 Developmental Neurotoxicity Study (2) 870.1300 Acute Inhalation Toxicity Study (2) Permethrin is highly toxic to both freshwater and estuarine aquatic organisms. (2)

Impact on environment
