DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY TO ROHS II REGULATIONS

On 1 July 2012, the European Parliament and Council published in the official EU gazette directive 2011/65/UE concerning the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic appliances. (It replaces the previous Directive 2002/95/EC effective July 2006)

In compliance with the “Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS II)” directive, since January 2013 in all EU member states, manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment have had to adapt to the new Directive and to restrict the use of hazardous substances within the levels permitted by the provision. (Substances and limits were already imposed by the previous Directive 2002/95/EC. The AEE categories which must comply with the regulations shall be governed by the new Directive 2011/65/EU)

The substances that are subject to restriction and the maximum permitted concentration levels by weight of homogenous materials, excluding special exemptions, are as follows:

Mercury (Hg)

< 0.1 %

Cadmium (Cd)

< 0.01 %

·

Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)

< 0.1 %

·

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

< 0.1 %

ProtectONE Ltd. has conformed to this provision by evaluating, in collaboration with its suppliers, the presence within the limits established or the total absence of the above-mentioned substances in the basic materials and in their constituent components, except for those materials, alloys or components for which there is a specific exemption in the Directive. Currently their presence should be considered within the limits provided for in all types of product.
