veryone has that something they just can't live without. What about during winter?

Do you drool over your 4-wheel drive truck in the snow? Are your winter boots equipped with heated foot massagers?

Unless the highlight of your winter is the seasonal flu, you count on these things to make those colder months more tolerable.

Let’s see if you can have a heads start on winter and buy yourself things you could look forward to use or play with when the first snow arrives.

First of all, you certainly will need winter tires, are yours in good shape and can they be used for another season? If so why don’t you call your local garage and plan an appointment in advance for some date at the end of October or the beginning of November? This way you won’t be surprised with summer tiresduring the first snowfall or stuck in the waiting room because it’s rush time and every day is booked solid. No tires? Start slowly looking for what you need, sales will soon arise!

You may not own Ski-Doos or 4-wheelers or you may be looking for a new one.

Local dealers are ready to help you at this very moment! It takes time to find exactly what you want and what you need, why not start looking now? If you find what you need you will look forward to snow begins!

If you’ve been shoveling snow off your driveway, perhaps you’re looking for another option. Will you hire a snow removal company or will you buy yourself a snowblower, a 4-wheeler with a plow, or even a tracker? Once again you need time to do your research... many questions can come up like, how long will that new snow blower last? Would it be more convenient to have best of both worlds perhaps having a 4 wheeler and a snow

plow? How strong will my 4-wheeler need to be? If I hire a professional, how much will he charge me for the year vs. per visit? Start calling around and get quotes now! Visit your local dealers and get some brochures or search the internet and get more information, now is a great time to learn more and not get rushed into it.

Another thing that might make your winter more bearable is going down South!

You may hate winter so much that you need a break from it in the middle of it...or you may not have the summer holidays that everybody else has because your work schedule doesn’t permit. Perhaps as a business owner, summer is your rush time and winter becomes your alternative holiday. If this is the case, start shopping now!‘Last minute deals’ were very popular but more and more savings are done with ‘Early Bookings’. In my case, my holidays are already planned and booked. Once that’s done you don’t mind first snow coming down because this means you are getting closer and closer to your ‘Winter Break’!

Another thing you can shop around to make winter more enjoyable is planning to rent a cottage for a get-together with family and friends either during the Christmas holidays or simply for a fun weekend! Now is the time to make reservations as you can have a nice choice of area, cottage size, and features. Some cottages may be close to ski hills, some may have hot tubs, pool tables, close to cross country trails, motor operated trails, 1,2,3,4 or more bedrooms... If you start your research now, you may have access to the perfect cottage for the perfect winter retreat!

No matter your plans, winter is approaching faster than you think, might as well get ready for it on a positive note!

A Pet Lovers Guide to a Happy, Safe Thanksgiving Show your pet how thankful you are that he is in your life. Before guests arrive, enjoy some playtime together making sure he's well-exercised. Feed him a good meal then give him his bathroom time. "Routine" is the cornerstone to a happy, calm pet, so stick to his as much as possible throughout the holidays.

When the party preparation begins, keep your pet safe and occupied in another room with toys and treats of his own. The tantalizing aroma of your cooking will entice pets to the kitchen where their curiosity may get them too close to boiling pots, hot ovens and various meat with cooked bones in them where they can harm themselves. It's not their fault, they just LOVE Mama's cooking!

If you can't put them safely away during the party, tell your guests not to slip your pets any of the potentially dangerous items below.

These 'taboo' foods and drinks can cause serious illness, even death in your pets. No matter how adorably your pet pleads, Please don't risk it!

Raw bread/yeast dough: These can actually 'rise' in the high heat of your pet's stomach making it expand and even cause 'bloat' which is an extreme emergency and may be fatal.

Avocado (guacamole): Contains persin. Fine for humans, very toxic to pets.

Alcoholic beverages: Keep ALL alcoholic beverages away from your pets. Even one drop can kill your bird. Have guests keep an eye on their drinks at all times if pets are loose in the house.

Xylitol: Any foods sweetened with this product is highly toxic to pets. Keep out of reach!

Chocolate: All types of chocolate can sicken your pet depending on the level of theobromine in it. One ounce of Baking chocolate will poison a 50pd dog. This includes puddings, cookies, brownies, cakes etc...Have 'pet-safe' treats handy to give instead.

Coffee, Tea or other Caffeinated drinks: Pets are super-sensitive to caffeine and a little will go a long way in making your beloved pet very, very sick. Sodas and speciality coffees filled with sugars and sprinkles are especially tempting to our pets.

Stuffing & certain gravies: May contain garlic, onions and onion powder, which can cause internal bleeding. Grapes and/or raisins can cause kidney failure. Sage contains essential oils and resins very toxic to your pets, especially cats! Macadamia nuts can cause rear leg paralysis. Not worth it!

Pan Drippings & Skin: If they are not covered in potentially dangerous herbs, a small amount could be a treat. Too much fat can cause a serious condition called, 'Pancreatitis'.

All Cooked Bones: Here's where your turkey, ham, fish or chicken and ALL cooked bones become potential, deadly weapons to our pets!

Tossed Turkey carcass that pets have gotten into from the garbage are one of the deadliest 'weapons' out there, causing choking and perforated intestines, most often fatally. Here's why: Cooked bones are hard and sharp. They splinter when chewed creating multiple, deadly shards. Unlike humans, an animal won't chew something until it's pulverized before swallowing. Therein, lies the danger.

Secure discarded cooked bones to a lidded, metal garage bin outside and out of reach to your pet and other animals. Make sure you've included the string that is often tied around meats while they cook, to our pets, these smell and taste great. However, once swallowed can easily wrap around vital organs causing severe distress and/or a serious operation to remove it! "Better safe, than sorry!" So please, discard these 'deadly enticements' in a very secure garbage can your pet can't open. While waiting for the Vet, feed some canned asparagus (warmed, dipped with butter to entice). It is known sometimes to wrap itself around sharp objects in the stomach allowing a safer exit.

These treats are SAFE to feed!

A slice or two of the boneless Turkey meat or chicken or fish. (ham is too salty and can cause sodium ion poisoning) A little of the roasted skin if not covered in herbs is fine too.

Add to that some of the roasted carrots or sweet potato, cooked beans. Or better still, a couple of spoons of plain pumpkin puree.

(NOT pie-filling!) and never 'Grandma's Secret Recipe Mashed Potatoes'...Great for humans, vomitus-fest for pets. A couple of spoons of gravy are a nice addition as long it isn't littered with herbs and alliums. (garlic or onions) Now this would be a delicious and appropriate, special Thanksgiving dinner for your pet!

If your pets are on a species-appropriate, raw diet, even they may enjoy the treat of a little cooked meat & veggies on the holiday. Special occasions are special because they only happen once in a while.

Recently, I had the unmitigated pleasure of facilitating one of my 'Epiphany' Past-Life Regression sessions, with a Soul that had much to share with her human, conscious mind. She, a young woman who came with her list of questions and cast of characters just knew in her heart, there was more to her life than what she was currently experiencing. Oh boy, was she right! While deep in trance during our session, what she received from Source opened her eyes, to the unlimited, HUGE life she was sent here to live. A life's mission, filled with blessings, that will indeed affect every, single soul on earth!

At different times in our lives, we ask ourselves, 'Who am I?' 'What am I here for?' 'What is my soul's purpose?’ Once you have those questions answered, you will never look at life the same way.

You will see the big picture. You will realize the potential of every soul's life on earth.

Some say, 'But I look around me, and all I see is misery, depression, debt, cruelty, and a life without joy. I hate my job! I hate my life! Every good thing seems to happen to 'other people' and never to me. Where's the good, the joy, and cornucopia of blessings for me? ' And so I put your question to the angels. They came to me, and gave me this, your answer: “Look higher. Go deeper. Think wider...and BE THAT, you!

Dearest humans, you have lost sight of the grandest of all of Creator's plans,

'YOU!' Remember now, that you were sparked off into your own individuality, from Creator. As you carry the genes of the human parents who birthed you, as well, in your genesis, you are a spark of Creator's Heart, Mind, Soul and Being!

Therefore, You are a creator! Not as something separate, abandoned in the cold, dark outside. No. You are wholly a part of the GREATEST LOVE of any existence. You are an integral part, of the brightest LIGHT. There is nothing greater, more cherished, more perfect, more loved and more beloved, than you.

In your inception, you were given every gift to go forth, and create what you will.

When you went through the veil of amnesia into earth-living, it is true you forgot Who You Are. However, Creator has positioned all around you, people, animals, places, situations, actions, the angels, and opulent opportunities.
