Head Start on Winter!

Everyone has that something they just can't live without. What about during winter?

Do you drool over your 4-wheel drive truck in the snow? Are your winter boots equipped with heated foot massagers?

Unless the highlight of your winter is the seasonal flu, you count on these things to make those colder months more tolerable. Let’s see if you can have a heads start on winter and buy yourself things you could look forward to use or play with when the first snow arrives.

First of all, you certainly will need winter tires, are yours in good shape and can they be used for another season? If so why don’t you call your local garage and plan an appointment in advance for some date at the end of October or the beginning of November? This way you won’t be surprised with summer tires during the first snowfall or stuck in the waiting room because it’s rush time and every day is booked solid. No tires? Start slowly looking for what you need, sales will soon arise!

You may not own Ski-Doos or 4wheelers or you may be looking for a new one. Local dealers are ready to help you at this very moment! It takes time to find exactly what you want and what you need, why not start looking now? If you find what you need you will look forward to snow begins!

If you’ve been shoveling snow off your driveway, perhaps you’re looking for another option. Will you hire a snow removal company or will you buy yourself a snowblower, a 4-wheeler with a plow, or even a tracker?

Once again you need time to do your research... many questions can come up like, how long will that new snow blower last? Would it be more convenient to have best of both worlds per-

haps having a 4 wheeler and a snow plow? How strong will my 4-wheeler need to be? If I hire a professional, how much will he charge me for the year vs. per visit? Start calling around and get quotes now! Visit your local dealers and get some brochures or search the internet and get more information, now is a great time to learn more and not get rushed into it.

Another thing that might make your winter more bearable is going down South! You may hate winter so much that you need a break from it in the middle of it...or you may not have the summer holidays that everybody else has because your work schedule doesn’t permit. Perhaps as a business owner, summer is your rush time and winter becomes your alternative holiday. If this is the case, start shopping now! ‘Last minute deals’ were very popular but more and more savings are done with ‘Early Bookings’. In my case, my holidays are already planned and booked. Once that’s done you don’t mind first snow coming down because this means you are getting closer and closer to your ‘Winter Break’!

Another thing you can shop around to make winter more enjoyable is planning to rent a cottage for a get-together with family and friends either during the Christmas holidays or simply for a fun weekend! Now is the time to make reservations as you can have a nice choice of area, cottage size, and features. Some cottages may be close to ski hills, some may have hot tubs, pool tables, close to cross country trails, motor operated trails, 1,2,3,4 or more bedrooms... If you start your research now, you may have access to the perfect cottage for the perfect winter retreat!

No matter your plans, winter is approaching faster than you think, might as well get ready for it on a positive note!

As sure as the colours of the seasons change, so do our lives. Some changes come to us as clear and vibrant as a Canadian Maple Tree donning her crimson jewels for the fall season. Some are less obvious, though just as significant. I am in awe at how well Nature adapts to change, easing into each cycle, so sure that Spring will come.

think there appears to be no choice, it just happens 'to' you…As long as you remember you have free-will, you always have a choice. Especially the choice to call upon us at any time for guidance, intervention or just for our comforting presence. We never judge you. There are many here just waiting to help guide you into seeing the blessings of the change.

Of course, there’s all kinds of change in life, not all of them make your brain fire in a positive direction, but if you keep the faith that ‘All things happen for a reason,' then at least there is peace of mind…and remember, nothing is as sure as change and if you don’t like how something’s turned out, well, you can always change it again…

Just know, all change happens for your highest good on a Soul level, whether you are initially happy about the change or not. It may be a lesson for you to learn, it may be a reward you have earned. If the change is challenging, perhaps the lesson is to learn to let someone in to help you through it. Or to teach you to learn to appreciate the good you have in your life today.

Change happens in you, through you, around you in all things, though often, you do not notice it. Seasons change, circumstances change, people change. Much change happens with people unaware.

Unless it affects your day to day so profoundly as in cases of health, career, finance, relationships, new location, new government, and other changes, where you cannot help but notice it. Yet, with every breath you take your cells change, with all that you observe, your brains change. From the cellular to the global and unto the entire Universe, everything is in constant change.
