I don't know about you, but I'd shake my head when your Vet-recommended chemical dewormer works by paralysing and affecting the central nervous system! Do you really believe those chemicals won't affect your pet right along with the dying worms? Accompanying inserts touting precautions that range from projectile vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, possible BRAIN DAMAGE (encephalopathy) and even DEATH; Well, sorry, but there is no way I'm going to use that, on a beloved fur-kid!

After all, it's YOU and your family, who are the ones who will have to live with any toxic reactions long or short-term, that your cherished 4-legged family member endures. Your Vet of course, will be happy to step in to help, albeit with more high-priced treatment fees!

Fermented vegetables are filled with probiotic properties and are very useful in preventing and eliminating worms. Think of adding fermented carrot sticks, sauerkraut and kimchi to your pet's food dish.

Introduce to diet slowly, adding 1 to 3 tsp. per day per 20 pounds.

Grated raw carrots, squash, cucumber, fennel, pineapple, papaya, and pomegranate, all have properties which will help expel various worms from the body. If your dog is not used to fresh veggies & fruits, add very slowly, and build up to an average of 1 tsp. per 10 pounds.

Adding non-dairy coconut or goat's milk Kefir is usually, eagerly accepted by pets.

Starting with a tsp for a small pet, all the way up to 3 tbsp. For a large dog. As with everything, start slowly, increase gradually.

Rest assured, long before Veterinarians became a recognized practise, and their outlandish service fees became a caring pet Custodians' nightmare, there were intestinal worms around and people and pets dealing with them safely, and effectively! Read on, for some of these gentle, natural food remedies.

In addition, adding Organic, virgin Coconut oil, (working up to 1 tsp. Per 10 pounds body weight.) or raw, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/4 to 1 tsp. Per day, will help create an ideal alkaline environment in your pet. Even Garlic, in small quantities, is helpful in eliminating worms in your pet. (1 tsp. Chopped Garlic, per 30 pounds of body weight per day.)

Common intestinal worms in our pets: hookworms, tapeworms, roundworms, and whipworms.

Adding home-made Bone Broth daily to your pets meals, will also support (most deliciously I might add!) the immune system in eliminating worms.

Remember! Intestinal worms thrive on the sugars and starches found in kibble!

Therefore, a common-sense start to eliminating intestinal worms is to put your dog on a species-appropriate, raw-meat, balanced diet. What you are doing in effect by feeding your pet a healthy diet, is building up their natural immune system.

So they will enjoy an intestinal environment, which is uninhabitable to worms and other parasites!

Do not add all of the above immuneboosting, deworming food remedies, at the same time! However, you can try one for a week, and then choose another if you like. Or just use the one your pet likes the most. All will benefit your pets' immune system, keeping it strong and healthy! Therefore making it a very unwelcoming environment to parasites, which will in help turn keep your pet, healthy, and worm-free!

However, if your pet already has worms, implement step one above, and then add some of these simple worm-expelling additions below until there are no more signs of the worms!

Further research will satisfy your need to make an informed choice as to whether these safe and easy, natural food items, rather than harsh, chemical dewormers with terrible side-effects, just may be the right choice for you! ~~
