In the meantime, check out their story below: “Our adventure in raising alpacas began close to 10 years ago.

Why alpacas you might ask? First of all, for the animals themselves – they are a relatively easy enough animals to handle, weighing in at 150 – 175 pounds for a mature animal, each one of them having a very distinct and amusing personality.

We are now settled on a farm in the beautiful countryside of South Glengarry where our animals receive a lot of attention from our neighbors and visitors. (In my neck of the woods I am known as the alpaca lady!).

The alpacas produce a much sought after luxurious fibre that has the beneficial characteristic of being hypoallergenic. Because of the absence of lanolin in the alpaca fibre you will not get that itchy-

scratching feeling on your skin when you wear an alpaca product.

The shearing of our animals is done once a year, in May, by professional shearers who have the experience and the knowledge in handling the animals and delivering the nicest fibre that you have ever felt!

After the fibre has been collected off of each animal – including our 2 guardian lamas – we proceed to clean out the fibre before sending it off to the fibre mill where it will be spun into beautiful skeins of wool all in the natural colors of our animals. From there, we create warm, elegant products to be enjoyed by our happy customers.”

5. Be Patient! Wait for their response. Don't assume you know the answer. Listen with your heart, not your ears. It may not be what you are expecting. You may receive a feeling, or 'hear' a word (inside your head) or get a 'knowing' of their response.

Whatever/however you receive, it will be subtle.

6. Remember to say, 'Thank You!' Acknowledging their efforts to communicate with you.
