Kick Off St. Patrick's Weekend With the Greening of the Canal

On Thursday, March 16, head downtown to watch the canal turn green! The 26th Annual Greening of the Canal is the start of a weekend of St. Patrick’s Day fun in Indy, including a parade and tent party on Friday. Enjoy Irish-themed floats and helium balloons, school marching bands, pipe and drum bands, Irish dancers, food trucks, and a large heated tent in the American Legion Mall.

xZOOberance Spring Festival at the Indianapolis Zoo

After a long Indiana winter, we could all use a little xZOOberance! From March 23 through April 16, experience the Indianapolis Zoo’s annual spring festival, featuring 16 days of fun with activities running from noon to 4 p.m. on event days.

Blow off steam and overcome your cabin fever at The Bicentennial Pavilion, which will be buzzing with live music and dancing, along with spring-centric art and fun activities. Inside the Bee Study, see how beekeepers care for honey bees and learn all about these and other important pollinators. Or express your creativity with spring-themed crafts and make colorful enrichment items for animals to enjoy. There will also be photo ops, animal encounters, games and much more. xZOOberance Spring Festival is free for Zoo members and included with admission.
