Why Australian manufacturers should embrace new energy saving technology With an ever-increasing demand for energy, the need to reduce Australia’s carbon footprint has never been greater. The past decade has brought with it a remarkable growth in new energy-efficient technologies. But Government and consumers have been slow to embrace these new innovations. The Federal Government’s controversial carbon price scheme is now an accepted part of life for Australian manufacturers. The scheme is designed to create incentives for businesses to reduce their carbon pollution by investing in new energy technology or operating more efficiently. One man who has been highly critical of Australia’s energy policy is David Whitfield. The co-founder and CEO of enLighten, a
