Torrens University Australia announces Jim Varghese AM as second Chancellor 2022. Retiring Chancellor Michael Mann AO said he was very pleased with the Board’s decision. "On behalf of the University Board, I am delighted to announce Mr Varghese as the University’s new chancellor."

arnam Cultural Society (QLD) celebrated Karthigai Deepam (festival of lamps) on December 4 in Darra, Brisbane. The fun-filled family event started with lamp lighting, and soon followed karaoke singing, comedy shows, kids performances, etc. Also, dinner was later served to the attendees.

he Australia India Business Council (AIBC) NSW State Chapter hosted a Welcome and Networking Event for Mr Manpreet Vohra, High Commissioner of India to Australia, on 19 November. It was the first in-person event hosted by the AIBC NSW Chapter in almost two years, due to the recurring Covid-19 lockdowns in Sydney. Continuing to celebrate the theme, “The NSW/Australia India bilateral people to people connect to facilitate business to business outcomes,” the wellattended event had a guest list which included Mr Vohra and Mr Manish Gupta, Consul General India, Sydney, AIBC members and senior representatives
