Perth’s Indian community unites in mourning victims of Pahalgam terror attack
Perth, May 6 (Australia India News Newsdesk)
The Indian community in Western Australia came together in multiple solemn gatherings to honour the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA), along with its member associations, organised a peace gathering in Perth CBD to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack. A twominute silence was observed during the 2nd Asia Pacific Basava Convention in Perth as a mark of respect.

Similarly, participants at the 8th Australian National Hindu Conference, held on May 3 and organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad Australia, also paused to observe a moment of silence. Meanwhile, around 70 members of the HSS Seniors Perth Chapter gathered at the Indian Community Centre to express solidarity and offer prayers for the victims.

These coordinated tributes across the city reflected a deep sense of unity, grief, and resilience within the Indian diaspora in Western Australia.
