Indian diaspora in Australia holds prayer meet for Pahalgam terror victims

Thirteen days after the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian community in Australia came together in a solemn prayer meet to honour the memory of the 26 victims and express solidarity with their families and the people of India.

Organised by various Indian community organisations, the gathering was attended by High Commissioner Gopal Baglay and officials from the Indian High Commission. The event brought together people from diverse religious, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds, including international participants from several countries, united in their condemnation of terrorism.

Speakers at the prayer meet called for justice, demanding that those responsible for planning, supporting, and executing the April 22 attack be held accountable. The atmosphere was one of shared grief and resilience, reflecting the unity and strength of the Indian diaspora during times of tragedy.
