Karratha community celebrates Maha Shivratri with devotion and unity

The Hindu Association of Pilbara recently organized a grand celebration of Maha Shivratri in Karratha, bringing together the local Indian diaspora for a spiritually enriching event. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi attended the festivities, joining the community in devotional bhajans that resonated with the essence of the auspicious occasion. During the event, he interacted with diaspora members from the regional area, acknowledging their contributions to cultural and social life in Karratha.


As part of the celebrations, the Consul General congratulated the newly-elected committee members of the Hindu Association of Pilbara and launched the association’s new website, marking a significant step in strengthening the only diaspora organization in the region. The event showcased the unity and cultural vibrancy of the Indian community in Karratha, reinforcing their deep-rooted traditions while embracing progress.
