In a lead-up to the International Day of Yoga 2025, the Consulate General of India in Perth, in collaboration with the University of Western Australia (UWA), recently hosted a vibrant curtain raiser event on campus.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff of the university, reflecting the growing global appeal of yoga as a practice for health and wellbeing.

The interactive yoga session was led by Vishvanath Deshmukh and Ritika Chopra from The Art of Living, Perth, who guided attendees through breathing techniques and postures aimed at promoting mental clarity and physical balance.

The event not only marked an early celebration of Yoga Day, but also underscored the role of such cultural initiatives in fostering India-Australia connections through wellness and mindfulness practices.
