Indian High Commission hosts Consular outreach at BAPS Mandir

The Consular team of the High Commission of India held an Open House on June 14, 2025, at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Canberra to engage directly with the local Indian community and address consular-related queries.

The initiative aimed to provide guidance on a range of consular services including passports, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards, visas, and document attestation. Community members had the opportunity to seek clarifications and assistance on pending applications and service procedures.

The Open House witnessed active participation from residents across Canberra, who welcomed the chance to interact face-to-face with officials. Many attendees expressed appreciation for the effort to make consular services more accessible and responsive.

Officials from the High Commission stated that the outreach is part of a continuing effort to strengthen communication and service delivery for the Indian diaspora.

The High Commission thanked BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir for hosting the event and acknowledged the community's enthusiastic involvement in making the program successful.
