Canberra hosts 4th curtain raiser for International Day of Yoga 2025

The High Commission of India in Canberra, in collaboration with BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, successfully organised the fourth Curtain Raiser event for the International Day of Yoga 2025. The event aimed to promote a holistic and sustainable approach to health and lifestyle through the practice of yoga, encouraging conscious living, inner awareness, and collective well-being. It forms part of a series of lead-up activities ahead of the International Day of Yoga, observed globally on June 21.

Participants took part in yoga demonstrations and wellness activities that reflected the core values of the annual Yoga Day initiative. The gathering underscored the continued efforts of the Indian High Commission to promote yoga as a shared cultural and health tradition in Australia. The High Commission expressed its appreciation to BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir for its support in hosting the program and for engaging the community in the lead-up to the global observance.
